CASTROL EDGE Motor Magazine HOT TUNER Challenge!

We've been overloaded with entries to MOTOR Magazine's second annual Hot Tuner Shootout, with more than 30 of the country's fastest cars coming to Eastern Creek in August. Our inaugural event last year was a real eye-opener in just how extensive, and excellent, the local aftermarket tuning industry has become for modern performance cars. Our collection for 2010 will create some interesting battles, with a fairway of Volkswagen Golfs teeing off against each other, a host of Subaru STIs up against some red-hot Mitsubishi Evo Xs, and a heap of heroic V8 Holdens taking on a flotilla of force-fed turbo Falcons. Beyond that, we've got some wild BMWs, Mercedes AMGs and Porsches looking to maintain Europe's status, but also a good 'ol American stoush between the latest Mustang and Camaro. Each of them will be tested on the dyno, down the drag strip and around the race track in the fight to be crowned the 2010 Hot Tuner Champion. Presented by Castrol Edge, MOTOR Magazine's Hot Tuner Shootout will feature in our October issue, on sale September 8, 2010. What do you think will win?

CITY PERFORMANCE TO ENTER A SCIROCCO AND AN AMG MERC.!

The 4 cylinder VW Scirocco to showcase its competitiveness directly against other Australian delivered models such as the VW Golf R and the Audi S3 amongst others. Sirocco’s technologically advanced front differential virtually eliminates the known under steer syndromes. As a result, this is a super competitive entry for us. Our sister company Scuderia Imports imported the first Scirocco to Australia this year and we want to really showcase the potential of this car in the modified marketplace. Our second entry is the Mercedes C63 AMG. Most owners want more from their AMG; therefore we want to showcase the overall performance gains from this model. Having developed this car with many of our clients for the past two years, we believe we have come up with a proven upgrade package worthy of satisfying even the most discerning clients.

This event is great for the entire automotive industry and allows those involved to showcase emerging modification technology. It allows us to demonstrate our proven capability as a long-term, well respected and trusted performance partner and also the commitment we have towards theindustry.

Below is the entrant list as of today at Eastern Creek for the show down.

Today was the 1/4 mile at WSID with dyno runs at Eastern Creek. The biggest crowd pleaser was the Merc CLK Black from City performance, it sounded like a Funny car ripping down the drag strip. It was Black, Fat and very Euro porn. My other two favourite's were the Simply sports cars Lotus with an after market supercharger and other goodies and the imported VW Sirocco R from Scuderia, both looked the business and would scare anyone in traffic.
That being said there were 32 cars on show that i'd snap up a steer in, within a blink.

We entered the Brabus B63 S based on the C63 AMG. Our second car was the ABT Sportsline Power ‘R’, a supercharged VW Golf R32, however due to delays in supply of parts from overseas, we could not finish the car on time for this event.
