    Clutch assist spring.

    Hi,
Does the clutch assist spring matter? Mine is missing and only noticed while replacing the clutch master cylinder.
The clutch works fine, possibly slighty firmer than my lazy leg would like.

It's there to help return the clutch pedal to the top without the clutch itself doing all the work. Should actually reduce the pedal effort a little by not having it there. If the pedal comes up normally then it's probably not a problem, I've heard of some people claiming the clutch master will wear out quicker without it but I can't see how.
