    Prelude SI F22 to H22

    Hey guys, was just wondering is it worth doing a engine swap?
    or am i just better off selling the car and buying a VTi-R ?

    Buy the Vtir. They are cheap now.

    Sell the car and just buy a VTi-R. They're pretty darn cheap now, too.

    I was in the same boat as you thinking of doing tranny swaps and possibly a motor, but now I'm buying a different car in the coming months.

    Only benefit really would be knowing that what condition the car is in etc because the swaps done by yourself and xxx so person.

    I've got a BB5 Si with low Kms and was thinking the exact same thing.. With the cost of engine swaps these days, let alone finding a good mechanic willing to do it, I'd say its not worth it. Plus the brakes are smaller on Si so you'd wana do a full hub swap too.

    Theres nothing wrong with the f22z6 anyway.. great engine minus the vtec, but that does mean better fuel economy. It also has lower compression than the H22 so more suitable for turbo tuning.
