Thumbs up How common are JDM 4th gens in Australia?

So I've been looking around a few of the usual sites on the internet for 4th gens in Australia and so far I'm yet to see a JDM import.
How rare are they over here?
I'm soon thinking about getting my car stripped back home and building another over here but I really want a JDM car like my BB4 in the UK.
Back there they are actually quite common but the cost of getting mine or another shipped over is really monumental so that's not an option sadly ..

    Cheers.

They are more common than you would think but they are almost always advertised as being the AUDM cars on carsales.

I don't know about queensland but here is an Auto one in VIC

    Howdy,cleared my inbox out mate.
Rare enough thankfully, most i have seen of the Jap Preludes are Auto and quite often mistreated or damaged.
The case of many not knowing what they have and sometimes that works to your advantage as the way i came across my one.
Tbh i wasn't even aware of the Bb4 till i started looking around after my purchase.
Be patient and be quick if you spot one,but hensteeth really.

Cheers for the replies guys. That red bb1 looks like a good example and if I was in vic I'm sure I would be all over it. I have noticed that a lot are miss treated out here but the prelude in general is an underrated car. I guess I will have to keep my eyes peeled for a descent one local to me. Do many come up for sale on here? Would you guys say that carsales.com is the best site to use?

If you're serious at all about a jdm 4th Gen, your writing a cheque for this one already!

Just helped a mate pick up one for 200 bucks. it was missing a couple of things but it was the first one i have seen in person. electric seats, rear wiper blade, digital climate control the works. even the fuse box was still in japanese. He stripped it and kept the parts he wanted so sad.
