    Val's Greatest project

    Hello,
I've been building cars for years. (In the 90s I was building show cars for SCR.)
And now I am getting to the age where I am looking at doing my last build. LOL
So I want this to be the craziest car I have ever done.

And as I have fallen in love with Preludes again, I want it to be based on a 3g.
Yes I got the white one, but I want to keep it as a daily driver.

Making it legal is always the problem.
So I've been contacting engineers, (So far quotes of $5000-$8000)
But as this is going to be my ultimate car.... What the hell.

Obviously it will have a h22 dropped in, Stock in the beginning
I am thinking that I will be building my own body kit for it.
anyway dont want to let too much out at this stage.

This is the base car, a 1991 that I ripped the motor out of to put into my white one.

This is the donor 1994 vtir

This was the last build, A 1985 Nissan prairie, with all the ET turbo bits added.
    Before

I custom fitted a body kit, and those pumped guards where fabricated by me, pumping the guards 120mm.
Some other mods are, modified liberty b-spec twin exhaust, Glass sunroof from a 2007 Camay, electric mirrors from a lancer
and as it was a carby and I needed to upgrade the fuel system she ended up with something that is capable of 500hp (Can anyone say overkill) LOL
    And on and on.....
    After

This is great! Are you going to turbo the H22?

This is a good compromise between the sporting side and the comfort side. As I said, I think it is a super, super car." - Ayrton Senna

Long term Yes, but I'll start with just dropping the stock H22 in,
I have a lot of other mods I want to do and dont want to get bogged down on the motor.
Once its all done, then I'll look at rebuilding the motor and turboing it.

Slightly embarrassed to say i remember the Nissan Prairies on the roads, even in Ireland!
Nice to see another 3g project, maybe another 5 yrs or so we'll see the 4g's taking their place on the project picks.
Both can be had for the same price and particulars these days already.
Good luck with it,are you doing the mechanical tasks yourself on the car?

Most of it I will do, and there is going to be a lot to do LOL,
There is not much that I am not going to touch.
From the upholstery (except the front seats ) to the body work.
I am a bit over engine rebuilds so after is all finished, I'll probably get someone else to rebuild the engine.

I've been in contact with Flipmods about doing a 5 stud conversion.
and 1funRyd about the engine mounts.
Engineers about doing it legal and the wide body kit development in on its way....

But as I am looking at 3 years to complete, I've got a lot of work ahead of me... lol

I'll take any help I can get.

and there is the budget, as I cant spend $50,000 on it, I'm going to have to do it myself

This will be a good build, might put my in hibernation at the end of the year and bring it back when yours is ready, both h22 with s2000 seats 5 stud and wide body Might be removing my sunroof though as its heavy and i never use it.

Yeah... but you would always be the original LOL

Funny you said the sunroof thing... I was thinking as part of my radical body kit to get rid of the sunroof and put some race/rally styled roof vents.

All I can say is great minds..........

    Update....
    Well...
I think I am over waiting for Sean to arrange a quote on the engine mounts,
and with the review I have decided to go the innovative mounts.
I feel that I will have less head aches getting them.....
Anyway I sent a few questions off before I make my order to innovative.

I am looking at the mount kit, traction bar and front mount for $us1558.60.
So if the $au can struggle up to about $1.28 (please) it will be $au2000.

    As for the F1 project.....
still waiting on the kit from Carmate.....
I expected it 5 weeks ago,
but they said they still did not fill the container up, so it will be a few more weeks.... Months...
So if anyone was thinking about getting a kit... now's the time.... lets get that damn container full............

    Quick UPDATE

So as I am so pissed of with the other project I thought I'll through some money at the Vtec project.

So I bit the bullet an ordered the Innovative H22 Mounts and traction bar.... Lets hope they dont take 8 months to get here.
