Ah, well, it has been very busy and haven't had chance to update on here between several life issues and such.

But, the engine was built and installed in the car mid January. No leaks, no smoke, everything was fantastic.
Installed an oil temp gauge and oil pressure gauge to allow some monitoring to occur.

    Everything was great.

3000km's in, large amount of blue smoke started pouring out of the exhaust, to the point where i would lose people in my rear view mirror.
So it was back to the drawing board.

The exhaust port in the head had wet oil in cylinder number 4, so i had a general idea where the issue was.

To keep things short, pulled the engine out again, stripped it down and found that the rod bearing on cylinder 4 had failed. Looked like a crack along the locator and not a lubrication issue.
The damage was already done though, the rod was blackened, melted the piston rings into the forged piston and warped the head. So it has been a struggle all thanks to a bearing.

But, not to be down heartened, the project isn't done yet. In the year that has almost passed by, I have rebuild yet another engine and approximately 1 month from putting it back in the car and running again. (just need to get a head gasket and some head bolts)

I have taken obtained a welding certificate and a very nice TIG welder over the winter and plan on custom making a turbo exhaust manifold over the summer.

In the mean time, driving around in an Aerotop 1994 Toyota Supra, so not too bad
