    Brash's cheap daily

Some of you would know that my Lude is off the road needing an engine rebuild. Given the general shitiness of Adelaide's public transport system, I needed something to drive. So I bought this.

You wouldn't believe how tidy this thing is Tim! The previous owner was so meticulous - sure it's a little rough up close as you'd expect for a 1995 car, but yeah.

Previous owner has done all the hard work for me; stainless manifold, bigger turbo, coilovers, adjustable LCAs, Recaro SR3 drivers seat. Only standard things are the clutch and brake rotors. But with my circuit ambitions they probably won't stay stock for long! First track day is already booked!

Oh, and the real insult? This is not only the fastest car I've ever owed but the most fuel efficient too. I could get a high 9 out of the Lude if i really tried (happened like twice in7 years), but the first 3 tanks of 98RON have returned 9.6, 9.8 and 9.8L/100km. And that's doing the daily grind to work during the day, up and down the winding roads at night!

a mechanically healthy S14, f**k me swinging that's rare. Can't wait to see more of it and your track based exploits!

I know what you mean about turbos and fuel efficiency, the TT Supra i test drove the guy was getting 11l/100km out of it without even trying on the daily suburban run same as i get out of my Impreza RS hahaha. My mate's old RX7 on the other hand.....babied the best it turned out was 18l/100km, average about 22-25 hahahaha

If you come back across the Flannelette Curtain to Melbourne sometime let me know, overdue a catch up!

Took her on her first car meet the other day, and made the official coverage! Is it silly that I got so excited by this?

    I'm most impressed!
    Congratulations!

Tell us Brash what you think of the chassis after track day!

Track day is booked for May 1. Though given that I need to be in Sydney the day after for work, it will likely be 'track morning' rather than 'track day'. Either way, looking forward to it, and the supporting mods have begun in earnest.
But so far, I'm absolutely loving the chassis Terry, though it is a bit tail happy for my taste. I did solve this problem, but driving everywhere with my toolbox in the boot isn't really a logical solution in my opinion.

Side note, a m ate who plays with old box cameras and film had some film he wanted to use. So we went out picture taking the other day
