    Rim/Tyre Confusion

    Hey Guys,

So I've been reading up on the recommended rim/tyre and offset guides on the forum. Seems like there is alot of different opinions on what you can and can't run as i noticed on some of your build threads.

I was wondering if it would be a good/bad idea to run 17 x 7.5 +38 offset with a 225/45/17 tyre on my 5th Gen Vti-R. Also, I plan on lowering a little maybe about 1.5 inches, with coilovers. Would this scrub/would i need to roll fenders?

    Cheers

1.5 should be ok consider the tyre size is not much bigger than stock not sure the offset on 5th gen though, might poke out a bit not sure

not my car customers car, they are generic wheels, and yes his gaurds are rolled and pumped slightly but with 7.5 you would be more than fine, and yes his very very low, but height does not change the fact of it rubbing or not thats more to do with stiffness. 7.5 is not a wide wheel for a prelude, the standard wheels are 6.5 +45 or so and they sit in heaps.
