I've heard plenty of people using the cig lighter wiring without any issues.

Is it a good idea that I connect all these to the beefier amp wire coming direct from the battery + ?

This is was always my idea not sure if it would work but see what you think.
I never liked the idea of tapping into wires since it may cause problems
So I was toying with the idea of taking power from the battery through a solenoid that is set to activate with the ignition that way I can hook up as much stuff as I need with only 1 wire spliced into ignition.
More work but I like the idea lol shoot it down go

I guess it's ok to use wht/red wire to the cigarette lighter, if the fuse blown I might just put a bigger fuse in.

Extra cigirette barrel - Tap this off from the existing lighter socket or use a cig lighter double adaptor.
Alarm - Take power from the main power wire on the ignition switch harness.
2 channel amp - Direct from the battery and use a rated fuse for the amp. Fuse to be placed close as possible to the battery.
Small screen a uderdash light - Take the power from the accessory wire in the harness.

Upgrading fuses if they blow is asking for trouble. The wires in the harnesses may not be capable of carrying the load.
