I am a member of www.preludepower.com and I have been providing 4ws locking tools for the 3rd gen community since 2009. If anyone here is interested you should contact me either at www.preludepower.com or at my yahoo email address nailbender42@yahoo.com. I would be happy to do a group buy and send a quantity to a single address in order to save postage. At the moment I only have 6 tools on hand.

    For those in adelaide:

I take my car to bridestone select at Munno Para.
I walked in there and said I needed a wheel alignment, and as soon as I said Prelude, he said "Is that the 4ws model? We can do that no worries. Great car that. The lad over there, his missus has one."

And sure enough, they've done a really good job of it.

Hi guys, been a while since I've posted on here.

Highly recommend Rosebery Steering Services. Paid $85 for a 4WS alignment today.

Although a fellow ACT member wasn't a fan, I can highly recommended Capital steering and suspension in Fyshwick. Was recommended by the owner of workshop that deals mostly with hi-po jap cars, in particular subies. He recommends them to all his customers and uses them for setting up his competition WRX. When I spoke to the guy at Capital and mentioned the Prelude and my concerns, he knew all about the alignment tool and understood that most shops cant correctly align the 4WS Prelude. Anyway its the best alignment I've had since I used Brookes in Windsor.

Just a quick one, if the guy /girl doing the alignment knows what they are doing, you DON'T need the HONDA tool. You can easily lock the rear rack in it's correct alignment with any rod of the right size.
I did them for years, +1 for Competition Tyres on North Rd. You can trust the RIGHT tyre service centre, having run one for years, doing 4WS alignments, setting up race cars etc.

    Cheers Rusty

By now the OP would have had this done. However I cannot recommend Road and Race enough to everyone in NSW. An alignment there is the best money would will spend on your car.

yep, already done at Brookes tyres.

It's great that this thread is still around as it will help other people find 4WS alignment shops

in Melbourne go to the tyre professionals in sunshine. They know about having to lock the rears on preludes with 4ws. I know they have the 4th gen lock as they have used it on mine. You could ask if they have one for the 3rd gen.

isn't the 4th gen 4WS electronic? I thought the lock was only required for mechanical 4WS
