What do you do for a living?

The work people do has always interested me and I'd like to know a little bit more about everyone so here's the question. What's your job and what do you do?

    I'll go first

I'm a Computer Technician (Official title: Support Analyst). I mostly spend my days fixing issues on medium - large company servers (circa 30-300 users), administering user accounts and fixing issues on Windows computers.

    Now your turn.

P.S. I'm also have to answer any questions anyone may have or fix some little problems from time to time.

I have worked at an IGA supermarket (am a casual there again now) stacking fridges and freezers. Have been In the Army (2RAR Townsville) and have been a student (didn't like it)

Right now I just work the off weekends at the IGA and have been accepted into VicPol. Just waiting to start there now (haven't been given a date yet)

i'm a checkout chick at a woolworths... been thrown around the store a bit, started off stacking shelves at night before transferring to another store who offered longer hours with day shifts stacking shelves... eventually they threw me into the fridges and freezers with the occasional night shift, one of those being a 2pm til midnight shift building all the "specials" displays at the end of the isles... after a while they tried to cut my hours more than the national agreement allowed so i went to the union and i ended up as a checkout chick who eventually cut my hours just before christmas like they tried to do before... currently in discussions with the union about it but i'm just so over it at the moment, lol, i'm planning on getting out of there pretty soon, i'm gonna go crazy if i stay there much longer :/

Pharmacist for 1 year > Hypnotherapist for 42 yrs.
Could have made even more $ as a chemist - but job satisfaction by helping people was more important this way.

"You don't feel the speed, in a way. You just don't feel the speed. The car is so stable and so comfortable.. unless you look at the speed gauge you don't realise you're going that fast. This is a good compromise between the sporting side and the comfort side. As I said, I think it is a super, super car." - Ayrton Senna

right now, a business sales specialist in a Optus store...but only there for 8 more shifts.
after that i will be having a little annual leave until my wife pops out our first baby then i will be a stay at home dad for the 18 weeks that the government pays for then back to Optus on a casual basis while remaining the primary carer.
A completed modified car is an ever changing goal that can never truly be achieved.

^^^ Congrats in advance with prayers that both of them are well.

    Pharmacist's wages?
Hmm dunno. Could be about $60/hr guesstimate.
Chemist shop owners would want 3x that. And overheads are lower if the shop is at least 4Km from a regional shopping centre where rents screw you.
Best to have a shop next to or part of a medical centre & 4+ Kms away from a Westfield or water (where of course no one can reside).

Hypnotherapist clinic owner gets about $110/hr. I do nutritional Psych too which I love because there's detective work to diagnose + positive feedback after treatment usually + it's preventative health.
