    Question No check engine light?

    yeah I have no check engine light after turn the key half way (no cel code), can't hear fuel pump prime and no start but everything else works, only thing i did was valve clearance, can anyone tell me what might happened?

    Main relay is first port of call.

    Could it be because I have a dodge alarm system which I don't have the key for and I found a blown 20a fuse today and notice the dash mount led (beside the dim switch) flash 3 times? (or this may happened after)
    and if I unplug the black box under the dash car won't even crank.

    Quite possibly if it has an immobiliser that cuts out the fuel pump and it is not installed correctly.

    Could also be if that fuse is for the fuel pump. Checked the wiring diagram yet to find out which fuse has blown?

    I just googled the model of the alarm and people say the 20a fuse is for the blackbox under the dash (it might be wrong coz there's another 5a fuse for the alarm system which is good, the 20a fuse could be for the siren), I believe it's a starter kill switch but the thing is even without the 20a fuse the car still cranks so I think it might not be the problem.
    So the priority is to find out why I don't even have the check engine light on after turn on the ignition, btw it was too late last night I forgot to mention that after I did my valve adjustment I forgot to connect the alternator back (green plug and a nut), it actually starts idled for couple seconds and died (my battery's full, so no fuel), and then I connect the alternator back but no start just cranking, I don't remember if there is an check engine light or not before car starts though.
    btw the alarm siren model is SR 01 and on the blackbox it says CZ1-57 96-B

    Would you get a CEL if it was an alarm issue though? Thought you may get a battery light if the alt wasnt connected though.

    Have you replaced the fuse, reset the ECU (after checking for any codes at the CEL) and still failed?

    Try that and post results I guess. Has to be something obvious.

    no cel at all, fuses all checked reset the ecu but still no check engine light and no start, btw I do still have battery light and oil pressure light after turn on the ignition.

    I am confused. You have replaced that fuse from the black box right? And the allarm light still flashes three times. Mine does a similar thing (flashes rapidly if it has been set off prior to me starting the car the next time)

    I would suspect this is purely an alarm issue. Do you have a manual for it? Might help.

    replaced the main relay with a working one, I even replaced the ecu with another one I have, still the same, no check engine light no fuel

    Ground 101

    OK it starts and runs perfectly, the problem turns out to be nut is loose on G101 which shows here:

    I must only finger tightened it when putting the engine back so it was fine before but now it's loose and caused all the problems.
