    Twin Ring Motegi

    So I thought I'd share,

On my last trip to Japan I think I drove more k's that I ever have before...a bit over 1700km in fact.
This trip I made sure that some time was set aside to go to the Honda collection hall at Twin Ring Motegi.

To do this I had to drive from Fujikawa through Tokyo to Motegi...Sounds simple but due to a small mistake while travelling on the ring road around Tokyo I ended up missing my exit...(because I was on the wrong level of the freeway...and car navi's don't operate in 3D) And found myself at ground level driving through the streets of Shibuya.

If you have seen FF Tokyo drift or any movie about the cities of Japan you will know what shibuya looks like. It's crazy!
PLUS I was driving a car with Fuji City licence plates. Tokyo people have no patience for country folk

    Anyway we got there eventually.

There are heaps of pics of this place on the net already so I just posted a few of my favorites,
    Enjoy,

On the way (In a honda of course)

    Honda Collection Hall

    The entrance

    Various Generations of Asimo.....
They had a demonstration while we were there..including the "seat on a wheel" thing.
    It was kinda cool actually.

The FCX Clarity is in the background

My parents owned one of these..

    Sweet NSX

    The place was pretty big..

This was the view from our hotel room Shame that the season was over but there was moto GP testing going on when we were there.

My favorite part of the trip..
Unfortunately the MP4/4 was on loan to Suzuka at the time but there was still a 4/5 and 4/7 both driven by Senna. The 4/4 engine was there of course.

One disappointment was that there was not one Prelude there!
Best we could do was by searching the back catalogues.

My Fave Check the pic in the background

The complex was massive and virtually all dedicated to Honda. All of Honda's licenced merchandise was there including the usual weird stuff that you see in Japan,
Like Racing Chocolate and motegi twin ring cookies

One night at the hotel, dinner, breakfast and all access for $100 bucks was pretty good too.
It took a long time to get there but all in all it was a great trip.

Really surprised they didnt have the legendary Prelude there, in 1987 the prelude was car of the year, not many Honda's got that award

    ^^ Cheers Mate.

I was going to post some more photos but I don't have a lot of free time to get on PA these days.

I might be going back there in April for a track day, so if I do I'll take some better quality pics.
