Hi guys, I have this notorious problem with my foggies and really want to iron it out so they work without the globes prematurely bursting.
I have spent so much money on buying globes and taking the f**king bumper off is such a hassle every time I have to get to my foglight housing to replace the globes. I'm getting sick of it to the point where I'm just going to take them off and throw them in the bin.
Has anyone got any idea as to why my globes are blowing prematurely? (cue pun). I know I'm not touching the glass or the filament with my hands for a fact. I do notice that when I turn my parkers and headlights on the car shudders for a moment and the lights dim, then go back to normal after a few seconds. An auto electrician told me that people generally think that globes blow because they get too much power, but also because they don't get ENOUGH.
A mate helped put them in the second time to do the wiring correctly (fully qualified electrician) so he knew what he was doing. I know the wiring is perfect as I was present and helping when we put them in. The first time my housing melted, so I purchased a new set of foglights but to no avail, the globes in these ones keep blowing.
Please, anyone with any insight help me out, I'm tired of spending money on globes.
