    [POLL]Prelude Australia 2013 Calendar Competition

Surely this should have started by now if it was going ahead!

I'd love to see this happen again, I think it'd be a way to get PA a little more active again... The forums definitely aren't what they used to be :S

What do you guys think? Should there be a 2013 Calendar Competition? Vote and let's let the admins and moderators know.

If past performance is a precursor for future, I'd say we're on the decline and there'd be little point.

I don't think the forum is more active this year than it was last year, so doubt the entrants will be any better.

    Sorry for the pessimism.

And by "piss poor response" I mean the number of people who ordered calendars as well as the number of people who criticized it.
    Here's your answer...

Would love to see and enter for next years but as Curtis has said, no point PA is on the decline atm, it may pick up, but at this point its a far way off, regular member base is suffering. As Adrenalin has said in a prior discussion about this same thing, its not worth it, he put alot of effort into last years and got criticized for apparent poor work. I really don't blame him for not doing it again, I'd be the same.

The garage gallery is better than photos of the month.

I think restarting POTM would be a fair compromise, its not that difficult to run, as far as I can tell, or am I missing something? LOL

You are missing something. No one wants to pick a car every month and maintain a page on the site every time it has to change.

The calendar may not have sold as well as it could, but it's not due to people not being interested.
People are just slack asses.... I know I for one never got mine this year. But I definatly want one... Just never got around to getting it... (consider this an order Steve. I'll grab a few of this years calendar, and a spare of last years if you still have any.)

The "buzz" on the forum was outstanding during the time of the comp.
And when the winners were announced, it was probably the biggest and most awaited post of the PA year...

I felt bad for Steve when people started criticizing his hard work. He'd done such asn awesome job.
The last 2 PA calendars were a credit to him, and a credit to the whole forum in general.

I'd love to see it stay, but I'd also understand if he didn't choose to bother again too.

And his shoes are too big for me to fill, and offer to take the roll over. We habe a problem here guys, and it's a problem of our own making....

I'm not sure if anyone realised but Conner, myself and a few other people took photos in the September photo a day challenge thread...

I tried by best to take a photo a day... Some photos were easy, others needed a bit more effort such as rolling shots...what is everyone else doing on this forum? I don't know how meets are going in other states but I hope SoE can organise a decent NSW meet again over the next month or two...

I work fulltime. by the time I get home it's dark.

I have a sneaking suspicion most people here are in similar situations.

As keen as I was it, it just wasn't possible

A little off topic but I expressed an interest in running POTM to the admins but never really got anything back from them.

And Migoreng I have something coming up that I'll announce on Sunday!
