ian is the only person i know of who ran 10psi on factory internals with no problems but with the fear of bending or day lighting a rod ! , i ran 10psi on a stock bottom end and bent a rod so i'd highly stress if your planning to add boost then be smart and build a bottom end that will reliably handle the extra power . dont do what i did and waste good money spend the money now and get it built properly .

There is no such thing as an easy Turbo build, if someone said it was ever easy, they lied

It's never easy (especially if you have never owned or worked on a car before!). I had mine tuned at 9psi and the stock motor last about 6 weeks. You just can't know for sure how well it will last even at low pressure.. While i applaud anyone's decision to turbo one of these cars, i really recommend getting together some tools and experience first. It's a very expensive mistake if you bugger it up!

picked up and installed a water temp gauge and boos gauge. im putting off fileing out my flanges for the manifold. but i think i have run out of other stuff to do now. so i might start it tomoro. anyone have a recommendation on what plate thiknes to use for the end that bolts to the block and the end on the turbo? and also what tolerances dose it need to be maid to. like how flat and how acutart do the hols need to be?

Howcome you didnt just get a slim line intercooler, that thing is huge for such a small turbo build.
Think you might be rushing into things a bit, take your time, source parts that fit right, saves cash and stuffing around later on.
