    I'm about to start.

Almost brought a Bear Strike on Saturday. Looking at 29" draw and 50# Starting shooting with the Boolaroo bowmen. All very exciting!

Just had a google and that is a sweet looking bow. Mine are only relatively cheap ones.

one is 45lb draw and the other is a 65lb. 45lb I can shoot all day but 65lb after 15-20 shots you really start feeling it

I just got into it because I was in a gun store and saw the compound bow and it looked fun. Luckily I live out in the country so I have plenty of area to use it

For me, just thought "How could it not be fun?" went and tried it and loved it.

I'd never previously met anyone who did it either. I can't even remember what provoked the thought.

I used to do it at high school, my mate's dad used to run it so we'd get to use these pretty awesome competition recurve bows instead of the shitty plastic ones the school had

I think I need to invest in a wrist guard... going to have a lovely big bruise there tomorrow after all the shooting today.

On the plus side I got a fox with my bow

IMO if you get a wrist guard, you will catch it on your bow and never stop getting stung. If you don't use one, you will get in the habit of not getting stung.

I have been doing archery for about 8 years, but my bow is unstrung at the moment, I have 2 compound bows. 1 is a cheap and nasty and one is a Martin Rage II in gangsta gold, I bought it when I was over in England, and got it from a store in Sherwood forest, Nottingham. Most people think I'm joking when they ask me where I got the bow

I want to get back into archery, there's just always politics with the clubs. Sometimes I want to just make my own club where people can just go and shoot a goddamn bow.

I was under the impression 60lb was the maximum draw weight you could have, has this changed?

Walking up the stairs, I heard a conversation between a man and a woman > she peeks her head from behind a screen > it's Ita Buttrose in a state of undress.
Anyway I'm an old dude (as most of you know) & she's an older bird > but she still gave me a wink as she proceeded towards an exit down the stairs.

Sorry - that's my best archery story - Lol
