    factory alarm issues

    Hey guys

My alarm dongle has been playing up a lot recently, and today decided that it didn't want to disarm the alarm.

Does anyone have a difinitive way of disarming it so I can use my car
Is a factory system on a 98 Prelude vtir. I've searched the net but every site tells me something different

    Cheers

Just to be sure you have replaced the battery in the remote right?

never mind, found the valet switch hidden in the kick panel, so all good.

So based on this, when i replace the battery in my remote, it works fine, but only works for a week or two, then stops responding. The red button still lights up when i press lock or unlock. But no response from the car. Am thinking of replacing it with a brand new one from Honda (unless someone here has good experience with the cheaper ones on Ebay?), Or could this be an issue with the receiver?
