True that just take a look at byp kswaped dc2r supercharged lol it runs circles round the evos at the track. With good LSD FWD FTW. There nothing better than going around a corner at 100 and knowing you can keep your foot planted and not have the back end come out

get a nice thick rear sway bar on the stock suspension, you'll be oversteering like a mofo

After now jumping into a RWD (BMW E30) I would have to say you cannot drive a RWD as hard as you can a FWD.. I do miss hard accelerations out of wet corners but i dont think ill be turning back too soon

the only reason to use RWD is to do skids and to be able to steer with the throttle out of a corner

FWD is a lot more forgiving for a novice driver as you won't spin out the instant you apply a bit too much power

and if you get your weight distributions right you'll be faster around a track with the same given power/weight ratio

Get a nice fat RSB and you'll forget what understeer means

^ u mean understeer is more forgiving to a novice driver.

the byp dc2r and eg civic actually oversteers a little to fling the ass around corners so they can point, aim and shoot out of them

You can do other cool shit in fwd's hit the brakes going into the corner to gain traction to turn in sharper then accelerate through and out.

Under steer over steer is fun as if you know how to control it too.

This behaviour absolutely pisses off falcodores that are following behind because
    a) when they brake hard with extra weight, unless they've got Brembos, they're inclined to get brake fade on country roads
    b) on exit from corners, so long as its not a steep uphill climb, they're too far behind to do a quick pass
    c) on sweepers, they have to watch their line more carefully

The amazement that motoring writers had in the late 80s about how well the 3rd Gens could slalom through cones still applies today.
My son Matthew's 1st car was a '89 Lude. After going up to the servo to fill up, a falcon driver (also with a full tank) decided to 'cowboy' him. So Matt decided to do the longer 3Km trip home through 7 bends similar to Comanara Parkway.
By the 4th bend the Falcon was into a bush rock wall!

When 4WS technology reached its zenith in the late 80s, Honda, Mazda and Nissan were all at odds with one another with completely different systems.
The MX6 could become temperamental with its electronics, which if it broke down, could be inclined to leave the rear wheels in full lock position - not good. This system was the worst.
The GTR was built for racing. The 4WS system called Hicas, could cause unexpected seizing up when approaching a corner with the Scandinavian Flick - thus a Hicas locking bar was introduced.
The Prelude had the simplest and best system at the time for varied twisties so long as the road surface was dry - but hey even Jim Richards came undone at the top of Bathurst in '92 lol
    Just remember, "horses for courses"!
