Bleh, after being in the car industry and seeing how easy it is to buy good reviews and even a COTY title i really pay no attention to car reviews. I don't read Wheels or Motor, I watch top gear because it's funny, not because i expect honest car advice.

All car makers do it VW, Mazda, Kia and unless the car is utter rubbish and even sometimes if it is, they will get the review. I haven't driven a CR-Z yet but COTY? Of all cars released it was the best? That kite isn't flying.

    Talk about haters...! LOL

I consider this to be good news.

I haven't driven this car yet, but what if it is realy that good...?

It's a modern day CR-X, and if it does well in the market place, maybe honda will realise that cars need a little more spirit....!

    Good on Honda for winning.

    BUT

The AUD and USD are pretty much parity

    USDM Price from $19,545 http://automobiles.honda.com/cr-z/

    AUDM Price from $38,966 http://crz.honda.com.au/range-pricin...e-pricing.aspx

    This is what annoys me.

Because the magazine is released today, not yesterday. That was the old magazine.

a lot of things in the US are halved in price, but someone who earns $26 p/h here would be sitting on $13 p/h over there so it evens out kind of.
Its not that theyre getting a cheaper car its just how their economy is. the AUD and USD dont really have much to do with it
GOD DAMMIT WHY MUST SHORT SHIFTERS BE SO HARD TO FIND!

Bloke. The cars are not made here. You could theoretically buy a car from the US. Stick it on a boat to Australia and still save a packet. Labour rates to not explain the disparity.

They will sell a hell of a lot more in the US than they will here. That would help lower the price. Not to that extent I admit.

That's interesting, and if it was $20,000 here I'm sure it would be a great seller.

Shame that you pay $40,000 for a hell of a compromise in every department but fuel efficiency.

The economy isn't what makes jap cars so expensive here. It's our import duties that are the real killer. It's all so we can protect Holden from the big scary overseas manufacturers who actually know how to make cars.
