    Gurhan's progress thread

Hey all! Been the owner of a 5th Gen Si for a few months now and am loving it! I'm sort of wishing that I had bought a VTi-R, but given the time constraint, the amount of money I had, and the price I got it for, I couldn't say no. Nonetheless, the car is in fairly good condition - just a few scuffs here and there on the paint from the previous owner, nothing unexpected - however it does have some high K's on it, exactly 250,000!

    *PICTURES ADDED SOON*

I've bought a set of 17" DR-19's (Concept 553's according to Tempe Tyres) wrapped in Kumho tyres from Tempe Tyres in Sydney, great people AND great prices - $950 shipped to my door!

Bought a set of blue LED's to change my dash colour, should be pretty cool!

Had to buy a new battery tie-down as mine was cracked, and apparently isn't roadworthy!

Bought a steering wheel with red stitching on the inner lining of it with a boss kit.

    Bought CCFL Angel Eye headlights.

HAD to buy a set of new shocks, so I actually as of 30 minutes ago own a set of Koni Yellow Sport Shocks. Who knows a good set of springs for these on a Prelude with 17" rims? Don't want to go too low but want to go low enough for the rims to look good, I'd like the gap between the wheel and the guards to be the same the whole way around.

Will be getting myself a custom 2.5" exhaust with a performance cat-back and a dual tip muffler for $450 at Glenroy Exhausts soon also, not entirely sure when because I don't have heaps of time due to working 40+ hours a week at Armaguard, lol.

Looking to buy front and rear strut bar's soon, as well as a CAI and headers.

I've heard heaps of good things about eibach lowering springs, they're meant to be top quality and from the top of my head provide a 1.3 inch drop. Something like this is probably your best bet unless you can find some good coilover springs which will give height adjustable, meaning more personalised ride height

That's alright, I have a mate that wants to buy the Tein's anyways, if the ride isn't how I want it to be I'll sell them to him

And so it starts! Just got my rims and tyres today! So happy! Sorry for crappy photo in the night time with my iPhone, don't have a digital camera (will buy a DSLR soon!)

Going to Grip Wheels & Tyres in Campbellfield tomorrow to get my disks machined, new brake pads and my wheels fitted!

Drag DR-19 17x7.5 Shadow Chrome wrapped in Kumho Ecsta LX 215/40/17. The stretch is very little and just how I like it!

+42 for the fronts and +45 for the rears I believe. Can't wait till all my other stuff comes too, I got the LED's for the gauge today as well Matt, I bought some chrome gauge rings also so they'll be coming soon. Got an AEM SRI today also, and a Megan Racing front strut bar.

When I have the time, I want to do exactly this to my interior. Looks SO boss.

Yeah been saving a while man, always wanted to modify my car to the way I want it. This car had sentimental value from day one so it will be a very long ride with this car - why not get her into shape? Most of the things I'm doing to her is for the roadworthy anyways! When I see you I'll explain everything man.

    Good day...

Gave these guys in Campbellfield a visit

    To leave with this

So happy, 2.25" and is ridiculously loud. Definite power increase but not all too noticeable without headers, which is what I will be getting them to make in a few weeks also. Should be good!
