    Rydah's progress thread

so i thought id make one of these instead of bothering you guys with lots of small threads, anyhhooo.

planning to turbo my lude, but for now only have it at 7psi till i upgrade my internals, my car is my daily so unfortunatly i have to do everything backwards which will take alot longer but meh, i got time.

    so the plan

    7 psi external wastegate
    simple turbo manifold
    2.5 inch downpipe back
    2.5 - 4" 100 cpi cat
    2.5" x 15" hot dog
2.5" inlet 3.5" outlet cannon (RICE)
To4E turbo with 5 bolt pattern (not v clamp)
    300x300x76mm intercooler 3" piping
    oil lines
boost gauge (hidden behind tweeter covers)

thats it so far, just a simple turbo set up, nothing big......for now

sounds good, you'll need some sort of ecu and bigger injectors too.

I recommend one of the tuning solutions based on honda ecus, Hondata, Neptune, Crome Pro, ECtune.

ECU + tune will set you back $1000 - $1500
injectors will set you back around $250 for a set

You're going to need some mandrel bends.
Also, before bothering with the exhaust/dump pipe, you need to mock up your turbo and manifold so you can get the positioning.

U shouldnt have to change ur radiator to a half sized one. But yes a thicker full size one would be better.

    ^^^ +1

Get a 56mm aliuminium Koyo or similar. You can still fit a decent manifold down there.
I'll stop short of saying you'll fit it down there easy. But you'll fit it....
