Really? I read the offical car list and it lied! I wasnt going to buy the game because of this issue, but NOW!!.. This is awesome.

I think they take laser images of the cars, I.E drive it onto a platform that makes a 3d rendering of it.

I imagine they'd just pretty it up and transfer it over.

I'd say they'd be done by hand, or possibly sourced from 3rd parties, because for one the Monaro/GTO isn't proportioned properly around the headlights - in almost exactly the same way as the one from NFS Hot Pursuit 2 is come to think of it.
