Im glad they didnt try and hide the H like they did with the Tiburon. How can you build a brand by hiding it!

    Genesis base 4T- $22,250 US
    Genesis base V6- $26,760

    370Z base- $31,450 US
    http://www.nissanusa.com/zcoupe/?nex...ure.thumbnail.

The 370Z retails for around $69,000 locally, so using some dodgy maths the Hyundai will be around $48,000 for the turbo, $59,000 for the base V6.

Toyota stated that they are aiming at $35,000 (probably closer to $40,000) for the 86.

Might be even quicker than we first thought. Although the figures arent quite Clubsport or F6 output, these are around 200-300kgs lighter - now that a lot of quick for a car. Hyundai have no car over 50k for sale in Australia at the moment either do they?

This could be a very quick and cheap weapon. Cant believe I am so interested in a car from the company that brought us the Getz?

If they sell at those figures I can see it being a huge problem. I dont think it could compete. How much is/was a Tiburon?

The V6 has done sub 6 Second 0-100km/h's also. That is nearly in a Clubsport's league. And they are are the nearly going to be the same price?

I can see these being a fair bit cheaper in that sense unless Hyundai want this becomes the next Honda Legend.

This may well be the car to make me change my immature, illinformed and redneck opinion of wHyundai* being a manufacturer of cars that are not very good at anything, but good enough for the majority of people.

I've driven a number of their vehicles over the years, and even comparing them with the design brief of cheap transport I've never been able to say that I would recommend one to anybody. Yet this one already has me kinda excited. Perhaps that is because there is so little on the market these days that does. But either way, we shall see.

God this place makes me angry, why does it cost me over $70,000 if I wanted to buy a 370Z?

I hope this coupe is competitive, and makes the FT-86 guys sweat a bit and come up with a decent price themselves.

i swear over the past few years, hyundai is producing more cars that are exciting, the exact opposite of what honda is doing!!!

this veloster turbo, if it comes to australia, and IF priced mid 30k, i reckon would be a good buy!

Seems like if hyundai continues with these line up of cars, i might even buy a hyundai sooner rather than later! like they say, hyundai seems to be the new honda!

You've prompted me to start a new thread on a Toyota product Tony & I'd wait for that if you want new; or an EVO VIII below $30K or a R34 GTR below $50K

Veloster v CR-Z? Turbo or Eco? Decisions decisions... Weird bonnet, and have to say it looks disitinctly like a renault/citroen with that glass roof.

Last I saw (couple of months ago) the 4cyl turbo will not be released in Oz, at least straight up. Also the price point may make a 2nd hand 86 that you could mod more attractive.

    Anyone know more?
