    C.O.T.M. to return to P.A.

just though id get everyone's response as into how people feel about C.O.T.M. to return to P.A. , i have loved the work that steve has done on the offical Prelude Australia Calendars and see it being a busy time for him , i see everyone goes to very long lenghts to get there car up to a standard and believe the people who dont get there car featured should at least get a chance for C.O.T.M . im not sure who's responsible for this part of P.A but i would put my hand up if the moderators dont wish to be apart of this section , with some help i think it will be a good thing , most other honda forums i reg visit all have current C.O.T.M's , it just seem to be us ? but you be the judge and the polls will tell what people think , i for one would like to see it come back .

It would be a good thing to have here again, but it is alot of work, prob more than the moderators have time for. i guess by having someone dedicated to the section may be a big help. all up to the moderators now i guess.
Always going forward cause i cant find reverse!

I had actually suggested that the COTM should actually be the car chosen for that month in the calendar.

The Mods have already put so much work into choosing the cars for each month of the calendar. Why do it all over again for the site.

Thats just my opinion, didn't seem to have any support when I last mentioned it though.

But i'd like to see the COTM happening again. Nomatter how it was done.

I was actually going to make it a random image from the garage gallery. Plenty of good stuff happening there guys.
This would be the easiest for all involved I think.

Give me some time though - I've been very busy again lately and havent had a lot of time for updating the site.

Actually, this is a great idea. Because the COTM shouldn't just be restricted to finished or more complete cars.

It should how ever be restricted to Preludes only. So you will have to find a way to filter the non prelude cars.

I'd hate to see a commonwhore as the PA COTM.....!

The issue we ran into with COTM was that given many of the members are students or just out of uni so there isnt a lot of money to splash on cars (nothing wrong with that) but as a result there isnt a lot of cars that have anything more then wheels and a drop. We pretty much exhausted the supply at Ian's 3rd gen and there just wasnt anything coming through really.

I like the idea of random images but we have that going up the top of the page anyway.

as i said at the start im more than willing to do all the hard work with write ups and getting photo's to submit to steve , a set of wheels and a drop in the right comb can look very nice , but you have bob not far of boost'n , myself with a big build , ian , steve with his 4g , steve with trinity and phatludes old 4g , lorby , snowhite , thats just off the top of my head , there is plenty of preludes , we are in no why exhausted with cars for P.O.T.M.

You've got about half a year's worth there MAX assuming they are happy for their cars to be featured as they are at that month, we also had the problem of people not wanting their cars used until they are 'finished' and when is a car ever 'finished'? Just pointing out the reasons it fell down last time.

I still think that if you want cars chosen for their quality, or at least their appearance.
Then the car for that month from the calendar is the go.

If your just looking to feature cars from any stage in it's build.
Then the randon cars from the garage idea works perfectly. (as long as they are preludes.

But I think the 100% support for the idea, is support for the idea of having a monthly feature car in one way shape of form.
    Thats undenyable.

things that need this to become less overhead:

    1) the voting system needs to be automated for a start!
    2) people update their garages.

once the winner is selected, it simply displays their garage.
