LOL, the new legends are really nice, only seen like two or three on the road, dunno why. Id buy one in a few years

I hope the new nsx wont be turbo. honda should stick to naturally aspirated that put out more power than turbos.

that is all well and good and it really would be great to see another NSX

BUT! they are saying "there is obvious speculation pointing at the race car's 373kW/392Nm aspirated 3.4-litre V8 power house."

which everyone should know is completely stupid. there is no way in hell a street car is getting a race engine and i hate how they quote those figures when thats the race engine, even if it was the same engine being used we would surely need to comply with all the environment shit and exhaust volume etc.

Hey! lets chuck a F1 engine into a civic and sell it as the race edition! it would never happen because you'd need a rebuild after 1500 Kms and how much would that cost?

While you're right that we'd never get the full on race donk, you also need to consider that the SuperGT car was developed in parallel with the road car; and that in SuperGT (unlike our national touring car series) the cars need to somewhat resemble the production version. This means the production version would likely use something similar to the 3.4L V8. And since the thing is already developed and tooled, it wouldn't be too hard for them to pull back the tuning to get the thing past emissions laws. Fuel consumption won'e be an issue, as people who buy supercars don't generally care about such things.

And when the figures for the race engine are the only ones available, why wouldn't they use them?

Takanobu also hinted that the company is considering creating a compact and affordable sports car, presumably rivalling the forthcoming RWD Toyota/Subaru pairing.
Now that would be cool. Even if the Prelude name doesnt come back specifically, it would be nice if Honda had something in its range that brought back pleasure driving again, instead of the Fridge on wheels mentality of recent years.

Well they have the accord coupe in the USA, ~200kw K-series 3.5L 6 manual, chuck that engine in a smaller car maybe -

Or maybe they could have just given us that car, I probably would have bought it new if it was over here, rather than jump ship next time I upgrade.
