    Ego's new car.....finally

Well after much talk, changing of mind, and umming and erring i finally settled on a Lexus IS200. Given the driving it do is up and down one highway 10km 5 days a week and some occasional driving around the SE of Melboure on the weekend i made the switch to *gasp* auto. Also i play golf and need some boot space for my clubs nad buggy so this fitted the bill nicely.

The Lexus i got is a 2003, has 60,000km on it, 2 owner with books and has standard features that would shame most brand new cars around the $20,000 (my parents wanted me to buy brand new). Auto headlights, mirror demist, 6 stacker, full leather, sunroof, cruise control and much much more. Its very grandpa spec atm, something i hope to remedy in the future but i wont be doing anything crazy with it.

Only things to do are a service and wheel alignment which i get at massive discount at work, a good detail which is free at work, and tint which is again massively discounted.

Here are some pics i took

Since there isnt enough room in the driveway for 4 cars my lude is parked on the street for the indefinite future

    It's Tony!

Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you.

Thanks mate, the cluster is mad, the top one is fuel usage in l/100km and it seems to spend 50% of the time at 20l and 50% of the time at 0l so i can only guess im going to do 10l/100km in it hahaha.

What are you thinking of buying Tony, PM if you dont want to post up.

I cant think of any criticisms so im going to go petty. The "l" in l/100kms should be a capital L.

    Nice ride

Did you get the watch with it?!?!?! That was an optional cluster designed my Tag Heuer (German watch making company) that also came with a matching limited edition watch. Please tell me you got the watch to?! That would be awesome!

Im a member on the australian lexus owners club and myis.com too but ill check out the altezza club too. All in all very happy with the car and now i can ponce around saying in a brittish accent "i own a lexus".

^^Correct, Lexus dont exist in Japan, all Lexus cars are badged Toyotas with different names, the IS200 is the Altezza. Interestingly the Toyota Altezza got a significantly less powerful engine to the IS', only had about 80-90kw iirc where as the IS have 114.

Also for anyone who didnt know Lexus were initially only available in America so Lexus stands for Luxury Export to United States
