Sounds like you really need to do some research. Read some build threads Check out some prices and turbo specs etc. We could be here for a long time speculating about what you might build. Most of the general info you are looking for is already around if you look for it.

So far as I understand the GT35R is a larger flowing turbo than the GTK350 and the GT28's

i have the gtk-450 which is only a tiny bit smaller than the gt35r . i would use the t28 first and do the internal work as when you want to up grade turbo's and push more boost the engine will handle it safely . bob right you need to research a bit more on other forums with peoples setups and get an idea of what there useing and how its working for them . i knew i wanted 500 hp from my b20 , i did the research spoke to my engine builder about it he helped my order the custom parts i needed and stuff i didnt know i just asked asked asked . noone on here will tell you to piss off with queastions , have a look around dude .

yeah thanks guys, and i have been doing a bit of research and it seems like the the gtk350/450 and the gt35r were the most common turbo setups on a h22a and their wasnt much on top required to get it running nicely. so ill look along those lines for now or even just hit up the t28 so i can have some fun until more funds then upgrade turbo and internals.

ohh and on the other hand.. i not all that worried about lag.. as long as its starting to spool by 3 - 3.5k.. so i can still stay under the radar with cops.

ive been in a h22 gt35, it doesnt lag much, much better to drive than NA vtec. i have also driven a h22 gt3076R which didnt lag at all. but both setups wheel spin to the max. ull be making 250kw+ atw easy with both setups and a forged motor and stock cams, but u wont be moving very fast

A quick look around the interweb will tell you otherwise.
Take a look at a few GT35 turbo dyno plots.

    http://htarchive.org/showthread.php?t=2717925

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPMYr7oZPz8

And another one strapped to an EVO 9. I think they use the word laggy
    http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-eng...yno-graph.html
The power from 5400 rpm and up is higher with the GT35R which makes this car a beast once it is up there in RPM
    Read more at http://forums.evolutionm.net/evo-eng...ktrack=kcplink
Which brings me to the next point.
Even when you have researched stuff. Don't believe everything on the net.

    i wrote gt3076r, not a gt35...

the gt35 was on bao's car, not the car i drove. bao's was a old member on here who showed me her dyno graph, it was laggy, but not as laggy as vtec

have also had the pleasure of riding in my mates evo 6 with a gt35 2.4L stroker and that was laggy, even with the 2.4L due to the low comp. the higher comp on the h22 spools quicker than a evo. well bao's car is more responsive than my mates evo cause he went with low comp to run high boost

'it doesnt lag MUCH' and yes its ALOT better than driving a NA h22

and with regards to ur 400rpm of lag that was with the 3076, NOT the 35.
