    Just bought a prelude 3g

i am happy as hell. this car has about 251xxxkms on the engine. bloody sweet.
    no rego
    no rwc
    fairly banged up radiator
cracked windscreen, small crack on the passenger side
    < $500
    and most of all
NO VISIBLE RUST AT ALL, had a good inspection on the edges of the sunroofs, in between hood n front bumper

    its a gold colour

just thought id introduce my ride hehe.

    but heres my question
im planning to get someone to fit a new windscreen in my car, someplace like o'brien or something.
does anyone know how much they go for? glass + labour for a 3g prelude?

obrien will charge you around 350-400.
I had one replaced through a smaller local windscreen company for under $200

Agreed, for a local one, not obrien or similiar, I would budget for $200 installed - had mine done for about $170 9 months ago but that was pretty damn cheap!

Glad your enjoying your purchase. Welcome!

Congrats! Make sure you have a look under the black trim in the bottom corners of your rear window (like round on the side where it meets the rear quarter panel) and also check for any rust bubbles forming just under you petrol cap door.

They are the other 2 really common spots.

Trade price for aftermarket screens is normally about $110 fitted---so if you can get one for $170 fitted you are doing OK.
A genuine honda one will cost alot more via the dealer.

a bit off topic, but still about my lude.
i grabbed a second hand radiator from imlachs, a wrecker shop near my area. only thing is ive fitted it i dont know if its whether a dodgy radiator or my noob job.
lookin at the front of the car, the previous radiator had leaked from the left side (the driver side headlight side)

when i installed this one, it leaked worse and leaked from the right side (the passenger side headlight side)

im wondering whether i have screwed up or just a dodgy radiator. my theory is that as the bottom hose if i didnt do it correctly is leaking, but thats on the other side of the radiator.

im still using the existing hoses and the existing metal plug.
im sure this is not an automatic radiator that has had its metal pipe connector removed.
please help im new to fixing cars and this is my first error.
