    Ego's new toy.

After a 2 year break from bikes i've returned to two wheels. Picked up this 2008 Yamaha R6 today, really nice power delivery and great handling! The lude wont get a look in on the weekends now! hehehe.

Couple of little mods: Fender eliminator + numberplate eliminator, LED indicators on the rear and flush mount front indicators.

Mods for the future: GTYR slip on exhaust to beef up the note a bit and custom numberplate "AHH 6"

Photobucket is being a bitch so ill post up more photos as soon as photobucket stops screwing around.

    pics!

Very nice mate, have to keep an eye out for you on it now. Been thinking abut getting a bike, the ex woudlnt let me get one, too dangerous. But getting one also means getting a licence (I know it aint hard) and you add up gear, helmet, licence, rego, and starting off with a half decent bike means its pretty pricey. Half to bring it to a meet one day

    It's Tony!

Speed has never killed anyone, suddenly becoming stationary... That's what gets you.

Yeah the initial outlay on a bike is the expensive bit, once you've got your gear its just rego insurance and upkeep same as a car. When i first started i got; 2 piece suit (leather) boots and gloves (leather) and a helmet which came to about $1200 total. Then i dropped my helmet and helmets are only good for one decent hit so i splashed out and got my shoei for a bargain $800 (supposed to be $1100 retail) and my first bike the CBR250RR was $5,500.

Dont worry about people telling you its dangerous, just do what you want to do! Im the only one in my family who rides constantly got mum telling me about people who die and shit. Just always remember how dangerous it is, wear all the right gear and ride safe and you've reduced 90% of the risks already.

The thing with riding is its either in your blood or you dont understand why people ride them. I've already tried to expalin to my parents why it is i love bikes but they just swap unconvinced looks and keep telling me to buy a car.

In the end do what makes you happy! You dont buy a bike because you can carry shit, because it's a comfortable way to get places or because its 'sensible'. You buy a bike with you heart because you F**KING LOVE IT! and for no other reason with the possible exception of turning girls heads left right and centre hehehe. I rode the R6 home about 20 minutes and had one stunner sitting at a cafe smile and give me a little cutesey wave when i pulled up at the set of lights infront of her Not bad for the first 20 minutes of ownership
