    I have the Turbo XS exhaust on mine and find that it just sounds so much better than a cannon, everytime I hear one with a cannon I am happy I got the Turbo XS instead
    If you don't turn around to look at your car as you are walking away, you have the wrong car

    It depends..

    A "decent" Canon exhaust on a full 3Inch Exhaust is quite nice, at the track at full revs, its amazing!

    my previous cannon exhaust:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kTEXVd4Tkho

    with the TXS i gained more performance due to the bigger dump pipe and the 2.5 diffback added torque..the sound is ok..but it wont beat the sound of my previous exhaust system as linked above.

    i will post a video fo the TXS exhaust when i upload i guess

    The 3" TBE with cannon is what's on ours. Sounds great most of the time but tends to drone on the highway.

    time flies!..

    the last 6-8 months have been a major roller coaster, came real close to selling the WRX..(long story)

    but then spent a great amount of time with my corolla since... 4AGE 20V swap and other associated mods;

    Rolla Club
    http://www.rollaclub.com/board/topic...corolla-sedan/

    Twincam.org.au
    http://forum.twincam.org.au/topic/3069-hans-ae94-sedan/

    but the whole point was to have teh corolla as a reliable daily...then focus all attention on the WRX...but one such as myself cannot simply drive a car that is not modified

    The long story in a few lines;

    to put it simply 2012, has been a really shitty year for me. financially and homelife has been an epic struggle...

    to be honest i have no idea how i pulled through, selling my WRX would have been a quick fix, to help those really dear to me. (Family in any scenario comes first)

    ..somehow i dont know..by some miracle, things worked out..i struggled still..but things started working out towards late August. my corolla had been dormant since it aquisition 8 months later..i started working on it...it was good therapy away from the real world.

    on a personal level, i had already parted with the WRX, i know any day someone would come and buy it, and yes some people came to see it, but i just wouldnt budge on my target price which was fairly low ($12,000) for a car making 208KW atw with decent suspension mods.. (138,000kms on the odometer)

    but i guess i was lucky..i got to keep it. its still a material thing but working on my cars keeps me stress free it relaxes my mind so much, so to celebrate surviving the circumstances ive been through, im gna get my daily corolla finished so i can drive it every day and take my WRX to a new level in 2013..

    things can change from one extreme to another so fast, that the real world. but in the mean time, lets make the most of it.

    /end Rant.

    now back to the topic, my plans for the WRX.

    im aiming for a 220-250KW setup that has power in the low-mid-and upper range, im not going for a big dyno figure, i want a fast car on the track.

    thinking of;

    EJ257
    VF34
    Process west TMIC
    TXS 3' TBE with 2.5 diffback
    STI 6 speed dccd gearbox

    should be a beast of a 200KW setup and maybe upgrade injectors for an E85 Tune and runs a 220-240KW power range.

    Handling;

    Tein Coilovers,
    Whiteline swaybars 22mm front 24mm back
    Anti lift kit
    chassis bracing

    i love GC8

    oh my god..the last time i posted in this thread..

    ok..my WRX so far..

    so i blew 2nd gear and my 5 speed box doomed...handled 200KW+ for 3 years..not bad..this was back in January..

    thats when things spiralled..

    the GC8 received a full blown MY06-07 STI Drivetrain transplant.

    - 6 Speed DCCD gearbox
    - R180 Diff
    - Thicker STI Driveshafts
    - Whiteline 22mm Swaybars Front & BAck
    - 5x114.3 Hubs upgrade
    - Brembos + MY06-07 Rotors
    - MY06-07 STI Wheels

    and as at now, i have an EJ257 waiting to get built with forged internals..

    i also bought a Liberty as a daily....shot myself in the foot seeing how i really want to buy a 4th gen again. time will tell.

    thoughts?
