    Email Spam

Soooooooo, I check my hotmail and ive got 130 delivery failure messages.

I click one and its some bullshit about cheap medicines.
So has something gotten into my computer and sent random emails.

Has anyone seen this sort of thing and how do I fix it?

According to my hotmail junk mail folder, someone musta told someone i am impotent, and needs vicodin! Lately though i keep getting emails for housekeeping, home renovations, and plumbing services - didnt know they were willing to fly from the US to do my gutters?

Lol. Problem is that these arent the normal spam msgs, they are postmaster delivery sending failure messages.

it's got nothing to do with people sending emails from your system or even logging into your email account, it's just that they've used your email address as the return address, so if the send fails, you get the webmaster delivery failure message. Changing your password wont help in this case.

I have deleted them all. And its slightly obvious seeing as there are 130 of them then another 110.

So now I know the problem, whats the solution? How can I stop it becoming a return address?

get a new email address, or setup an email filter to automatically delete any emails from webmasters. Personally i prefer a server-side fail filter, but i'm guessing it's not your own email server.
