    Clay's Progress Thread!

Ok. So, here's my 1992 Si with the F22B.

    It's got:

    Stainless Steel Extractors
Home made Cold Air Intake with Pod Filter
    Autotechnica Cannon (crappy)

So... this is the progress thread. I've got a list of stuff I wanna do. Some of this is easy, some of it is hard. Some's expensive, and some is relatively cheap. By all means, if you guys can think of a cheaper and easier way to do any of this, I'm listening all ears!

Anyways, I'll cross things out during the year as I go. My plan is to have ALL of this done by 25/01/10, so it's started as of today!

Fit MP3 Headunit (Sony Xplod 50Wx4 already in shed)
Buy and Fit 6" Speakers for parcel shelf and doors.
Buy and fit splits to suit, in dash setup.
Check Amp connections and tweak/modify if necessary (there is an amp in it, havent had a look at it yet)
    Retint Windows
Steering Wheel Replacement (would love a nice looking leather JDM wheel, but my Si has cruise... not sure if there are changeovers, or what's involved...)
Buy and fit new 16/17" wheels and tyres
Replace headlight bulbs and adjust headlights
Regrease or replace with neoprene, all suspension rubbers
Change out engine oil and filter
    Replace all spark plug leads
    General Tune up
Touchup bonnet, rear guard and general paint
Respray same colour (R82P) properly at a reputable place
Give car a good cut and polish, overall 100% detail
Fit new tail lights (don't like the solid red wedges)
    Fit strut brace and swaybars
Fix crack in centre console (small crack behind handbrake)
Restick carpet to centre console reaching into backseat
Mount front bumper more securely (it sits right, just want to firm it up)
    Install new parkers
Replace sunroof lining or cover sunroof lining with cloth with gold stitched Honda logo
Fix starting issue (see starting problems thread)
    Fit gold Honda badges
Retap spoiler threads (little bit rusted, not grippy enough on screws) or coat threads of screws with teflon)
    Drain and replace transmission oil
    Replace all belts
Replace all hoses (vaccuum, radiator, the works)
Replace door seals and rubbers where necessary
    Fit remote central locking
    Fit remote starter kit
    Fit/fabricate automatic sunroof closer
    Regas aircon
    Install better, sexier exhaust
Reweld cracked weld on exhaust manifold (minor crack in original weld)
Digitalise tacho/speedo (how great would a digital tacho/speedo look to match the rest of the dash? Might be a big complicated project... don't you bastards steal the idea )
Modify nostrils (would like to make them mesh grilled)
Buy and fit slimline personalised plates
    Calibrate 4WS
Wheel alignment and balance (will happen when wheels and tyres are fitted, obviously)

Cancel out valve train noise (it's a little ticky)
Buy new service manual and original 92Si manual
Lower car and redo springs and shockers
Find and install suitable lip kit for front and rear

    Hello Clay,

You have some great ideas there, and certainly looking at what you have done already, you got yourself a nice little ride. Good luck with it all.

That said, Ive moved this thread into a more appropriate section on the forum. Not only will this help keep our site in order, but more people will get to see your work within this section of the forum.

    Thanks.

Thanks Peach, sorry it wasn't in the right spot to begin with!

    I'll learn, eventually!

Anyone got any ideas on the list of 47 things above?

    nice picture and nice progress!

I like that your getting to some of the maintanance/basic things before venturing off! This project definitely has potential.

Yeah well I figured I'd make the car run as best as possible first, get it reliable and sturdy, and then get onto the cosmetic/yummy kinda stuff.
