    QUESTION TIME

    What's you're Favourite Mod?

I can’t pin point it. It would be out of:
    - The complete exterior (especially the front and rear lips, which are rare and were hard to get a hold of) – finally I can be proud of how my car looks, it used to be so ugly…
    - Tein Flex coilovers – perfect street / track coilover. Comfortable, yet great handling, and allowed me to dump my car to 0 finger gap all round with still a few inches of adjustment.
    - Fujisubo Legalis R exhaust – Love the look, love the sound, not too loud, and decent performance gains.

If you had your time to redo everything again what would you do or not do?

I would have definitely got coilovers first. Handling improvement was awesome, and lowering the car looks wise is always a bonus. I was riding around in a 4wd for quite some time, having done power mods first, constantly wanting to drag people in a burgundy 4wd with ugly rims…
The only mod I regret is the Xforce header. They caused me a lot of hassle at the start although having pretty good power gains for the price, If I had my time again, I would have either left stock, or got a fujitsubo header to complete my exhaust.

How long have you had the prelude for?

Been quite a while now. I think 3.5 years or something, and will still keep it for quite a while longer.

If you could have another Model Prelude - What would it be?

4th gen is my favourite model, and would love to eventually have the engine rebuilt with Type S gear etc and deck it out with Bride seats. But if I had to choose another prelude, I would have to go Type S 5th gen in either white or black.

How long did it take you to decide what Mods to do?

I thought about the mods a LOT! I kind of had a plan of what I wanted to do to the lude when I got it. I’ve kinda followed that plan for the most part, but as always, you start going a bit overboard…

Where did you get your ideas? Where does my inspiration come from?

I’ve kinda modelled my car of the Honda Type R series, hence the Championship white paint scheme, type r looking body kit etc. Originally I wanted to 5 stud conversion for the JDM dc5r rims, but strayed away from that idea eventually. Generally going for a clean JDM tuner look.

Did you do majority of the Mods yourself?

Purchased the car just about bone stock, so I built it from the ground up pretty much. A few of the installs were DIY’d by myself / mates.

Do you have a name for your lude?

lol, I call her ‘White Comet’, or simply just ‘Comet’.

What Mods did it have when you bought it?

Ugly rims, momo gear knob, and razo pedal covers.

Has it been Dyno'ed? What's the result?

It hasn’t been dyno’ed with it’s current mods. But I would be estimating about 110 -115kw atw or so, as its untuned.

    Next Mod?

Will be purchasing a 10inch sub, as I’m lacking bass.
    20% tints.
Also, VAFC II. I previously had one, though after a defect, it was removed, and sold off as I was short on cash. Really want to tune again as it drove great.
Also looking to custom baffle my sump, as I wanna have more peace of mind at the track.

    Future Aspirations for Prelude?

Well, I’m gonna keep her for a while longer. At least until I buy a house. Depending on money in the future I may or may not rebuild the engine. Just light spec eg. Type S pistons / cams, port polish head, tune on Neptune etc.

How do you find the police are towards your lude? Any stories?

Generally, the cops are OK with preludes. I have been pulled over a few times for random checks, but generally its because its late at night and they are driving behind me, or because I’m driving a little fast.
No real stories, besides getting owned by cops for street racing and losing my license. I generally drive pretty sensibly these days though.

Mark's done his car from scratch if you have forgotten Paul. As nice as this car is, its probably still burgundy underneath. The work Mark's done to his car is almost phenomenal compared most members on PA.

    ..nice looking lude though

Hats off to you sir. One of the finest examples of a fourth gen in the country, possibly the world. I absolutely love it. Congrats mate.

Very nice looking lude mate. I'm sure the championship white looks better in person as well.

I have to ask though, was it a budget cut to not paint the inside of the engine bay? Or am I looking at an old pic before it was painted? lol

congrats on cotm, i remember seeing your car at a meet and not really looking to closely, but its one hell of a head turner now. definatly pulled of the typeR look, if you had this and a JDM front DC2R side by side..
also, ive seen a guy on boostcruising selling fibreglassed passenger side moulded sub boxes to suit a 10" since im guessing you still wanna keep the weight and space minimal.

PM me for all your car audio and other miscellaneous installation needs.
