    Fitness Advice

Okay guys i'm a bit confused and need some assistance, i want to tone my stomach up and get a definite 6 pack, but also continue to build my upper body, is it possible to do these at the same time(ie with diets etc). and what's the est method for losing belly fat, the toning really isnt the issue i just have some belly fat over my muscles. did that make sense? Is running my bset friend here?

cant 'spot reduce' fat mate (unfortunately). my clients ask me that all the time, lol. diet is one of the biggest things when it comes to losing that layer of puppy fat (which is often stored over the gut on males), onces the nutrition is in order the Abs will begin to appear. Doing hundreds of crunches will do nothing if there is a layer of 'padding' covering the definition

Yeah i need a diet routine too, i've had a 6 pack for ages cos i've worked my abs for a good year, but always had some fat over it, even tho i eat heaps of tuna, sardines, vegies, fruit and meat and bugger all fatty stuff.

I think a mate is getting me one next week, will post it if i do.

I wouldnt waste your money you can get most traning information on body building forums.

I would never buy a fitness e-book. 99% of the time they are just crap thats copied directly off the net and sold to suckers.

The best thing to buy is a gym member ship, home gym set ups dont cut it, if you want a serious 5 day routine and to get motivated you need the gym member ship.

i got a home gym set up and been using it for 5 years now, i am a lean person normally but 5 years ago due to poor eating and drinking constantly I did put on 14 kg and it made me look like shit so i got motivated and got myself back to the weight i was (69kg) in 2 months and now have maintained it since, to loose that bit of fat i suggest eat properly not fatty foods what so ever and go for a jog also, i had the same thing as you and i work out just over an hour and a half each day doing various things from weights to running and i managed to get rid of that ting bit of fat. the hardest thing is to keep motivation, but my motivation is how good i feel after working out.

I think if you hae a "layer of fat" over your six pack, you'll need to do cardio to work the fat off! You start burning fat after the first 20mins of cardio, thats when the body starts to use fat as energy source :-)

I used to sprint for half an hour before i tore muscle in my leg and i still ride for a good half hour to hour almost every day, and the layer still didn't budge!

I've given in, it's not as if i look bad anyway, im not fat, there's just no definition. I surrender to my genetics.
