    different in every state of aus, but generally

    17 years old, written test -> L plates -> few hundred hours supervised driving -> 18 years old, practical test, written test -> P plates -> 21 years old -> full license

    I'm full license. How many supervised hours do you guys have to do? I did 25 hours a few years ago in WA.

    In NSW these days it's:
    Written test at 16
    120 hours of supervised driving (L's) [Also minumum of one year before you can take the driving test].
    driving test
    12 months of red P's (P1)
    computer hazard perception test
    24 months of green P's (P2)
    Some sort of other test
    Full licence.

    I'm on my reds at the moment, but I managed to escape the 120 hours supervised because I'd already got ym L's before they changed the law. I only had to do 50.

    Cant wait to get on the greens here, dont even have to show any plates. I wont attract as many cops that pull us over just for the sake of it.

    gogo tasmania!

    when i got my licence it was;
    theory test before Ls on 16th bday,
    50 hours, and a driving test before Ps on 17th bday,
    stop displaying Ps, no bike capacity restrictions on 18th bday!
    with no alcohol untill 20 bday
