Could try this stuff to isolate the alternator, but not sure if you would be keen on the looks in that bay.

That might be the go Bobby. If I could do it neatly like this - I might have a chance.

Looks like the new Alternator arrives today - and I'm hitting up Repco for some of that ACL heat shield stuff.
I have a split CV boot so I'll buy one of them too.

    I'll just leave these here:
Honestly, we were just making sure the ceramic coat was properly baked on.

I like that heat shield idea for the alternator, I need to sort out something like that as well, extractors have already killed 2 alternators

Can definitely recommend the acl stuff. The new alternator is working fine even after the glowing manifold.

After spending the last 2 weeks swaying turbos, TWICE. I gotta ask man, how are those hard lines to connect.
it looks like you have more room, thanks to your top mount manifolds. But how easy would a turbo swap be for you.
I'm aware that you'll probably never have to do it, considering that you have already upgraded, just wondering...

LOL, I have no doubt it would be easier than mine mate.
I had to fit telescopic bloody fingers and retractable friggin elbows, just to do up my dump pipe mate.
I was just wondering if hard lines would make it harder or easier......

Honestly, the hard lines probably made it harder. I've had the hard lines on and off a couple of times to fix leaks etc. and because there's no flex in them you have to work your fingers til they hurt.
The v-bands were the best thing I did with the turbo setup. They make assembling the whole thing far far easier.
