    As requested, here's the update...

I made a custom bracket to come off the original battery tray bolt hole...

Mounted it with a countersunk screw and tapped a thread in a carefuly located hole

Then all of a sudden, the battery was mounted!

Okay it wasnt quite that easy. I had to locate and drill out some holes to make the factory bolts for the stock tow hook work with the battery holder (available comercially for PC680 Odyssey).

The custom bracket was carefuly made using 5mm plate, same as the stock tow hook mount so the battery was evenly spaced from the frame rail on both sides...

    Hope you enjoyed the update

So thats your answer to a battery relocation?
    I like it!
I've held off on relocating the battey, mainly because I didn't want to wind up with it in the boot. (BMW style)
I wasn't sure wether to make a vented compartment or use a maintenence free battery or what.
I also wanted to keep terminals under the hood. Even if they were just remote (dummy) terminals.
This soloution answers all those concerns. Fantastic! And looks trick when you throw in a little flair.

    I second Ian. *thumbs up*

Trust me when I say battery to boot in preludes is a bad idea, there is no enough room in the boot for a battery the spare and two amps lol

My battery is now on the passenger side rear seat.

No not actually on the seat because all the rear trim has been removed, but where the seat use to be lol
    No crap here SR love.

Hope you've got it in an air-tight sealed battery box. Otherwise you're not legal on the road, or at race events...

Each to their own. I have a battery, 2 amps, a spare and a 15" sub and it all works well.

I do like what Steve and Ian have done with theirs though. I'm sure Steve has looked at the duty on that battery too. Keen to find out how it goes once running.

Nice battery. Amazing that tiny thing could turn over a truck!

One question re your pipes, are you going to flange the ends of them out to help the silicone joiners? I've been having problems with my intake pipe blowing off the intake manifold, and i'm only running 9psi, i'm sure you'll be running much more! Or is there a special "grippy" joiner that you plan on using?

^ what a rediculously overkill idea... there's no need for that at all.

I'm either going to have my welding mate run a bead of weld around the ends or... I might have a go at what this guy did...
