I just painted/polyeurothaned my engine mounts.
I have ES inserts and I used Sikaflex 255 to glue them in to the motor mount.

I also solid filled the left and right motor mount with sikaflex.
I will be letting these dry for at least a week before I install them - most likely a lot longer than a week however. These will go in when the turbo/motor gets installed.

So I got my hands dirty again today, here's what I did:

    Power Steer/Alternator brackets:

    Cleaned up/painted gearbox.

H22a unupside down (pulled out oil pan/crank bearings etc.)

Pulled off oil pump - one balance shaft still attached here.

H22a oil squirters. These are used to cool the pistons in a h22. I will be installing these into the H23 block.

Attempts to show the LSD installed in gearbox.

Seeing how the gearbox turned out, I'll probably give the block a quick spray with silver before I install everything too.

Repainted stuff looks so much cleaner.

Yep. It also makes finding fluid leaks much easier when its all back together and running. Its worth noting that black things make it difficult to see oil leaks.

Yeah absolutely. I'm not painting anything black unless it came that way from factory. I painted the gearbox for exactly this reason. If it starts leaking - I'll know where instantly.

So if you've read the willowbank thread, I explained that the crank pulley bolt on the H23 snapped on Saturday night... here's the story:

The crank pulley bolt on my prelude sheared off last night and i had to switch her off - hopefuly before it did too much damage to the timing/bottom end related parts in the motor.

Had to pull the front bumper off in a carpark in Banyo to get it on a towtruck.

I had all my tools out while I was working on the car and this lady came past and was eye-ing them off... when my brother asked if she was alright she goes "are they your tools?" and he goes "uhh yeah" and she goes "oh cuz I saw they'd finished working on the car and I was going to take them in to the shop"...

Dodgey as hell people around that suburb... Who attempts to steal someone's tools in the middle of broad daylight?!
Here's a pic of what the bolt looks like...
