Did you buy one of those "easy bulb replacement" LEDs? In my opinion they're not bright enough at all.
And yes, there's a legal requirement for the flash rate of indicators, as well as a legal brightness so you could get picked up on it...
No, I actually used 8 (maybe 10) LED orange truck clearance lights they worked well with my front bar. And they were cheap and easy.
And I like things that are cheap and easy..... (did that come out wrong....?)

all I need is a couple of resistors and i'm good.

And the same goes with my dining room table too.

Today marks another momentus occasion in this build.

I drove the car for the first time in 2 years!

Lets just say she doesnt run real well. The basemap tune is all over the place (as to be expected) and its extremely loud due to it not having any exhaust right after the dump pipe.

    And now the bad part:
    1. Manifold touches the bonnet - i'm going to have to somehow adjust the height of the engine or modify the ribbing in the bonnet underside. Not sure what I'll do yet.
    2. As mentioned before, something isn't right with the tune - we didnt get too far with it today - daylight had the better of us.
    3. The car is far from daily drivable, the guards/bonnet/bumper need to come off again for more work to happen on the front of the car.

The final thing - i didnt take any pics or video today. Mainly cuz we were very strapped for daylight/time. Perhaps when its running better I'll take some pics.

Yeah, i'm really happy - brakes are really nice. Clutch is even nicer. Cant wait til the engine idles properly and the car makes some actual power.

Whoa! Awesome news!! Can't wait to see this thing running in the flesh... er... metal.

Looks like you might even make that FWD dyno day that I saw you signed up for (well the EOI list on toymods says you're going). I might come along to see how she goes, time permitting.

So I made some progress this weekend - mucked around with her most of the weekend and have a solution for this:

Turns out, adjusting the height of the engine worked. I adjusted my custom front engine mount and tilted the engine forward a little bit. The end result is a somewhat tensioned rear engine mount and bonnet clearance of about 10-12mm.
I'm planning on purchasing some DEI Gold Reflecta Tape which will sheild the bonnet from the radiant heat. I am doing away with the factory bonnet liner (it was nasty and got melted/burnt from the short test drive last weekend).

Thats really all the time I had this weekend for the car unfortunately. I feel like I did a lot of mucking around for not much gain - but I accomplished something at least!

Is that going to be enough mate? The engine is going to tilt somewhat, especially when driven aggressively.
