You don't have any children, if you did you'd be saying, "you can have my children free...!"

Simply put, I want an F355, but I'm not sure I want to go that route, I think maintenance would kill my wallet.

So really, I'd just rather the $$$ in my bank account as I have a few investments I'd like to sink some serious coin into. When I get my new job, my current salary will almost triple, so we'll see what eventuates, I just may end up keeping it.

Its been for sale for a while but not due to lack of interest, quite the opposite, I get ample phone calls / emails/ texts, I just don't really want to sell. Its only been the past 2wks I've actually genuinely wanted to sell up and move on to the next car - a restoration project on a 1957 Holden FC. But again time / funds will see.

    Prelude: Sold.
    S2000: Sold.
    NSX: Sold.
    F355: Coming...

Keep a percentage of your investments/income dedicated to your restoration project. If you can afford to do it in a slower pace then you usually travel then I would recommend another car... If your looking at a house, forget the car.. I havn't bought anything for the lude in 3 years, except a spray gun to repaint it, but I have a fair few other things that need painted first.

Cars don't pay for themselves unless you can do a restoration real cheap.

I'll make $15K+ out of this one.
Thats why I bought it. And to fulfill a childhood dream.. But my other childhood dream is an F355.... But thats another story. As much as I drewl over an F355, I'd rather the $$$ in my account.

I'm on the job renewal atm. If I take something for x3 current salary I'll end up in Melbourne.... so no point buying an old QLDer in Brisbane then...

Fantastic man, buying a place was the best thing I could have done.
If I were in your spot with the potential salary, save for a deposit and then just keep going aswell as your cars. You need your toys or you will go insane, I have a 12ft tinnie I'm rebuilding at the moment, it keeps me sane along with the house renos I do all over the place.
I would buy rentals, get your foot in the door, who cares where. Cheap with high income potential like a duplex as close to a trainstation and or as close to the city as you can. Two weekly rents of $300 a week and a $300,000 mortgage and its paying for itself without your input. However never rely on it too, always make sure you are paying the minimum and the tenants pay the boost or you won't succeed.

We are already planning our next move and we still have 5-7 years left of our mortgage haha.
