    ATTS Activation Light

Would it be possible to wire a led to show when atts is kicking in? similar to the vtec light....

My "guess" is unlike the VTEC which is a straight on/off device ,the ATTS system is on all the time but with varying levels activation. The new ATTS Acuras have a display that continually shows the amount of power going to each wheel.ATTS operation is a dynamic not a static thing if you no what I mean.

wow that power to each wheel thing would be a cool mod to do. sort of like the 34 gtrs torque to the front wheels dial.

It probably is dynamic, but you can definately tell when the atts wants to start pulling you round, it does have a bit of a kick in i suppose.

Why do you want a light just to show when your atts is working :/

there should be a writeup somewhere

actually in autosalon they had an AWESOME one that took up a DIN slot and actually said "VTEC YO" in red when it activated

i have the issue but its OLD so i probs cant find it.

i would love to put 4 LEDs in my gauge cluster, or make a little pod to house them all in. three would indicate RPM shift points, and the other for VTEC engageement.

I know i know, if i cant tell VTEC is on by the kick then i shouldnt need a light, blah blah, but its fun to make and do

Id like the shift points to be 3250rpm(green), 5000rpm(amber), 7600rpm (red: a tick under redline)

Otherwise i twould be cool to hook up some red neons in the footwells, under the seats, in the mag holdrs and all the interior lights (dome & door) as well as a secondary set in the gauges, so that when VTEC hits, everything goes RED. As if the car has gone mental

Lot of work for not much result, but it would be a cool final mod to do after eerything else is done

there are kits in jaycar that act as shiftlights im pretty sure.

So basically you would need one circuit per shift light. So we would need three. And if we wanted mr than than one led to illuminate we could just wire up a relay and use that to control a large array for the other lights. not too hard, just time consuming and potentially expensive (for the mod that it is)

for me though, i need to focus on earning the dosh for the lip kit, steering wheel re-bind, lowering and repairing some damage.

^^ yeah agreed, priorities lol. and yes jaycar does have a kit, $20 or $30 ish, so i'd expect about $100 all up roughly...

im guessing closer to $150 - cost of new L.E.Ds (the ones included in thse kits are shizenhousen), a bx t put it in(fibreglass a pod), wiring + misc items.

Still when im cntent with everything else on the car, this will be done hopefully. its a fun project to do too.

ive got a two leds in the plastic caps under my indicators that i wired up to my vtec solenoid in the engine bay. i got white and blue on either side which are the really bright ones. cool mod cos they light up the road aswell. and have put a small red neon behind my rev gauge for extra effect. thinking of doing under the seats but might get too ricy.....
