Thumbs up October - COTM - **xmkydx**

    His Story:
I first met the 4th gen lude while playing GranTurismo back in the day, always sorta liked them since the. One day, around 2 years ago, i was able to afford it with a small loan so i went for it.
i sort of wish i researched a bit better at the time, since i was a bit n00bish and bought an S assuming it had vtec
none the less, my car is in great shape, bought from a 90 year old man! it goes very well, and have had no major issues.
Once i got a real job, i went straight the the Tyre Factory with my first pay check, and got some rims, and the modding took off from there. The car to me is basically just for looking good but subtle, and maybe going for some hill runs now and then, and a stereo loud enough to make your ears bleed a little..

    Mods:
    Exterior
    ROH Shift-R 17x7.5 Wheels
    Topstage Front Lip
    Value Sports Side skirts
    Modified Accord Rear Lip
    Tinted Tail Lights
    Clear/Black Front bar lights
    Clear/Black side repeaters
    Extra lower parkers
White Led swap in all parkers/numebr plate surround
    Ultra white headlights
    Green Neons in front bar
    Interior
    EL Gauges
    Alloy pedal covers
    Green Neons in:
    Door pockets
    Door Vents
    Footwells
    Roof Light
and 3 more in the boot.
    Engine
    No real engine mods, just
    K&N Pod Filter
    Pod cover/shroud
Twin 3'' tip sports muffler, forget who made it..
    Audio
Source - JVC EXAD dual DIN DVD player
    Front - Pioneer Splits
Rear - Soundstream "Tarantula" 2 ways with external crossover
Boot thump - Jaycar 500rms amp, Twin 12" sony explod subs

    Jem's Corner
    What's you're Favourite Mod?
Possibly the lip kit, its a bit of a mix and match, but i think it really finishes the car off, and gave me the subtle, yet different look i was after, down the track i may get a new rear lip, and a different front. i also put the most work into that mod, lots of me and my friend have done all the sanding and spraying in his garage ourselves, so its nice to see it pay off. the side skirts especially were in terrible shape when i got them, so a few hours went into repairing them.
Other than that, the DVD Head Unit is super practical, having tons of music on one disc, or movies to entertain others on long drives..

If you could have another Model Prelude - What would it be?
Probly a 5th gen, looking and cars like DMT, Peach, Greenvious, grnlude and a few others, they would be the next step i suppose. but most of all VTEC YO!!!!!!!!

How long did it take you to decide what Mods to do?
The best decisions are made in seconds! but seriously, i took a while choosing my wheels, finding something that suited the car, and choosing stereo components, but the rest wasnt really that planned, i just found things and decided to go for it..

Where did you get your ideas?
Usually from other cars, i like cars with no spoilers and a lip kit so did that to mine, i like clean looking cars, like Guilty, Tipsy, and Rez if he gets off his ass and finishes the lip kit :p
most inspiration is drawn from finding DIYs and giving them a go.

Did you do majority of the Mods yourself?
Yup, and with help from my good buddies Shaun and Phil.

Do you have a name for your lude?
    POW POW!

    Next Mod?
Currently aquireing some new subs, and installing a 4 channel amp to run the splits and 2 ways.

    Future Aspirations for Prelude?
I have some rear parking sensons to go in soon, shaun is trying to make me a rear diffuser, possibly HIDs, definatly new tires, mine arent gripping like they should, and then some coil over suspention is definatly on the cards.

How do you find the police are towards your lude? Any story's?
Ive been pulled up a few times in the lude..i guess its kinda loud so gets a bit of attention.
i didnt have a number plate on my new front bar for a few weeks, and drove thru the city while a massive sumit was on, lots of cops asking where the plates were that day..
another time i was followed for about 2k by some cops on my way to work at 6am, they "randomly" pulled me over, breath test (yep, at 6am) and asked me lots of questions about the pirate flag :p
most the time they leave me alone though, as long as i drive sensibly

mega thanks to NickGTR for his photography skillz,
    hullo!

    bye bye!

yeh, i think ROH make great wheels, most really suit ludes, i like how mine stick out flush to the guard.
vent neons are my newest super project, using the technique used to make halo/angel eyes so maybe once ive got the skills ill make em for people.
as for the boot, thats nothin, i started with a single 12" then built a MASSIVE mdf box housing the twins, the thing filled every avialible space in the boot!
then i cut it in half and carpeted, and routed out some stars so its what you see today.
those subs are being handed over to my sisters LS integra soon, once i get the pioneer subs off shaun.

Looks like a lot of detail and time went into your lighting, congratulations!

Aftermarket guages have come a long way since their inception, they're pretty decent!
