Thumbs up August COTM - **GUIL7Y**

    [CENTER]Congratulations to GUIL7Y for
    August
    CAR OF THE MONTH:

    His Story:

When I first bought the car 2 years ago, I had aspirations of trying to
create something that was at least semi show worthy, I tried to think
about every mod I could ever want to do and try to calculate the cost of
such an endeavour. Although I bought a 1993 Si with 200,000kms on the
clock, the car had been very well maintained and looked after, at first I
wanted to change the colour of the car, Iíd always wanted to have a car
with Ford blood orange with a red pearl through it. But after a month of
having the car I just couldnít change the colour, phantom grey is such a
wicked colour especially in the sun after a really good wax .
Well after 2 years of owning the car, most of the mods that I wanted done
and also having spent quite a bit of time modifying the car myself I have
now got a lot of respect for anyone within the car modifying world that
actually gets in there and tries something themselves. There is nothing
that I wouldnít do again and from now on I can only enhance the show and
the go of the car with future mods planned. Oh and a big thanks goes out
to Justin (PreludeTAS) for everything he is doing for the prelude
    Tasmanian car scene

if you want to know anymore information about my prelude visit this thread

    What's you're Favourite Mod?

Probably my most favourite mod would be the body kit; its lines and the
flow just match the shape of the 4th gen brilliantly

If you had you're time to redo everything again what would you do or not do?
Iíd probably go out and get a job so I could get my car modified faster

How long have you had the prelude for?

Iíve had it for a little over 2 years

If you could have another Model Prelude - What would it be?
It would probably have to be a 5th gen, big kit, big wheels and black, I donít know why but I like black cars &

How long did it take you to decide what Mods to do?
I actually had most of the mods picked out before I even purchased the
car, but through start to finish Iíve been a little bit impulsive and
bought quite a few things that werenít planned for

Where did you get your ideas?
I like the styles of some of the s15ís I see around, Vertex kit, big rims
and slammed, and thought I would bring something a little different to
    the tassie car scene.

Did you do majority of the Mods yourself?
Yes basically the only things I didnít do were spray the car and
re-upholster my seats in leather, but I helped work on the kit, the
suspension, the boot install and basically anything else that can be seen
    on the car

Do you have a name for your lude?
    GUIL7Y

What Mods did it have when you bought it?
It didnít really have any, it was fully stock

    Next Mod?
Probably air bags, or maybe scissor doors.

    Future Aspirations for Prelude?
I would like to be featured with my broís teg in hot4s a little bit
further down the track, maybe pick up a few awards then retire her to a
    weekend warrior 

How do you find the police are towards your lude? Any story's?
Never really had any problems what so ever, they donít bother me and I
donít bother them they donít really care about many things
involved with either being too low, too loud as long as your not driving
like a wanker . And once I was driving down Hobart through the center
of the city and I noticed 3 cops standing on the side of the road
pointing at my car and laughing at the plates , I thought that was
    pretty funny .

Congratulations Sam! She's a fantastic looking car, goodluck in your aspirations to clean up at future car shows!

I like the photoshoot location too - Aurora Stadium/ Launceston Railyards. Good choice!
