Just for fun pull out into traffic with a bit of jest. Shifting to 2nd gear. Box full of neutrals no go and no sign of any damage. Quite lucky not to get rear ended. Tow truck ride home.
Get it home, jack it up and quickly find the issue.

Driveshafts usually spin with the wheels, but in this case I seem to have blown the outer CV joint.
Quick fix. Buys a lotto ticket.

But it does point out that with a helical LSD and one wheel with no grip will not transfer power at all to the other side.

Stock replacement shaft installed. I'll give it another go as is. If it ends up a repeat failure issue I'll go Gator or similar.
I don't believe the size of the shafts is the issue. I suspect it's simply quality (Made in China) and strength of the CV's.

Yeah, fair enough. It wasn't actually the shaft at all!
