    Advice...

    Hey...

New to the site, obviously, Right now I'm tossing up between a 5th gen prelude and a DC5 integra type R. Price is about 8K difference just wondering if in your opinion it's still worth the money to get a lude these days?

I'm inspecting both cars tomorrow and would be good to know what to look for?

Integra are always more expensive- and I never understood why. Get a 1999 prelude (get more for your money and there are more features than the 1998).

yeah as lilmissgen4 said, look for 99+ lude coz the engine is more powerful (+5kW), better transmission and trim (if you're lucky you can get a dual colour black-beige leather trim).

5th gen and dc5r are completely different, integra is designed purely for racing, while the 5th gen is for sporty and luxury.
Having a sports car does not mean you need to break the speed limit all the times.

i say go the lude for sure!

when i was searching for cars i tooo was tossing up between a integra or a prelude, i took a drive in both, the integra definantly had more balls and felt alot swifter than with the lude, but the preludes go pretty damn good and if you get a 99 with leather interior like mine, you'll love it that u bought one!

also with the lude there is waay more features and fun stuff!

What about maintanance cost? Cause say in a few years time, I'm sure parts for the lude will be rare? whereas integra I'm sure will still have fairly new and parts in stock, should something happen to my ride?

so was I, I thought a lude was more worth my money.... you get just as much for less. Also, I think the looks of preludes are better they're sexy

integra has 5kw less (big deal!) but it is a lot lighter, and you will have heaps of aftermarket parts from awesome companies like buddy club for your car. Even a lot of NA stuff. dc5s are nice cars, i'd get one of them

If i were to do it all again, i'd get a teggy you can throw them around a bit better. All depends if you want a cruiser or a race car tho

Test drive them both, then you'll know which you prefer. Us telling you the pros and cons of each only helps so much. In the end it will come down to which you feel more natural driving and which is in better condition. Welcome to PA by the way

    simple maths
    prelude = you getting pussy
integra = you being a pussy

but seriously I have nothing again integra’s, they’re fun cars to drive but preludes are more refined and have less road noise.

I'm guessing you are comparing a Vtir 5th gen with the DC5R. Given the choice I'd take the DC5 Type S.
The 5th gen Si is no comparison.
