Thumbs up Lawson's Progress Thread (56k Warning)

Well everyone else has been doing progress threads, so I thought I might as well jump on the bandwagon =)

I bought my Prelude in July 2006. It was manufactured in 1995, but sold in 1996. It is a VTiR.

I bought it with fairly low km's (124,000) and the body was very straight and clean!

    When i first got it:

The first mod i decided to do was my Audio. I love my audio so i chose not to skimp out on anything =) I spent about $3200 on it at this stage and bought:

    - 2x12" Dual Voice Coil Lightning Audio Strike 500W RMS subs (in box)
    - 2000W limited edition Soundstream Tarantula 4 channel amp
    - 2x 6.5" MBquart discus at the front (with tweeters)
    - 2x Clarion Splits at the rear

    Pics:

It took me about 2 months or just over to re-coupe the funds from that, before i could continue on my modding path.

I bought some Blue/Silver Momo Racing Pedals and installed them in the meantime =)

    Pics:

Next Mod on the list was a CAI with pod filter, Blue NGK Spark Plug Leads, and some Apexi Springs....all thanks to !Jonzap! (Thanks buddy!)

    Pics:

    Springs:

I spent the next 2 months or so continuing to recoup funds from the audio and the other mods, and finally caught up on money again by December. Its at this stage that i bought my Custom Number plates!!!

I installed these, but hated how they were still on that big black number plate box, so with the Help of PAPA we took off the front bar and removed the box, and while this was off we also took out my nostrils and sprayed them GOLD

    Pics:

It was after this in early 2007 that I bought a new aftermarket alarm system to protect my precious lude, as well as some footwell neons and undercar LED’s(biggest regret ever)

    Pics:

A few weeks after this my NEUSPEED front strut bar arrived and I installed that on my car the night I got it BEST MOD EVER I really noticed the difference in handling! Its insane!

    Pics:

Just after this I also bought a nice 6.5” JVC double dinn DVD screen to complete my audio (except for the custom install) and had it put in soon after.

    Pics:

Within 2 weeks or so I also got my yellow foglights from –db- and installed them pretty much straight away too!! These have to be my favourite mod, as most ppl know me by my foggies. I get flashed by oncoming traffic by ppl who know me before I can tell who the hell it is. I can light up street signs 200m away overhanging the road brightly and clearly with a nice yellow glow! Its hard to explain really, but they are EXTREMELY bright =) turns white cars yellow

    Pics:

It was now a few months until I did anything else….but when I did
RIMS and EXHAUST on the same day =] got some nice 17x7” RS-GT’s in gold, and a nice x-force cannon put on!

    Pics:

My latest modification to the car is a set of 2 gauges that I got installed. One is oil pressure and the other is oil temperature =) gotta watch my oil with all the VTEC’ing I do one of them is mounted in the tweeter cover, and the other is in the drivers side air vent. I took the first picture from drivers perspective so you can see they are both angled right at the driver, and the other pic is of the whole interior.

    Pics:

And FINALLY the most recent pictures here is from my recent photoshoot with a female friend who does part time model work, and a mate who has a good camera (but still learning to use it)

    Pics:

    FUTURE MODS:
There is still a few things to come on my car one of which will be this nice GT wing you have all heard so much about. Here is a sneak peak for y’all

    Pics:

    And that it

very nice! just keep it up. glad you decided against the accord lip though, haha you need something more extreme anyways, to compliment that wing. love the way your theme flows, but needed the cannon to be gold, and need gold badges as well. Also waiting on the navy and gold trimmed interior, lol

the rims were $1400 for all 4 with tyres (215/40R17)

i dont like the neons either, but hey...people make mistakes

GT wing will not be a permanent attachment, its only going on for shows and late night hills runs other than that it will be spoilerless =]

Lawson I've said it before and I'll say it again - if I ever see your car in the flesh and that GT wing is attached, I'm going to do mean-bad-nasty things to it.

*Siiighhh* If only I had a gun. I would shoot it. Again and again and again.
