    May COTM - **DMT**

Congratulations to DMT (Dave) for representing Prelude Australia for May 2007.

All I can say is, what an effing gorgeous ride he has. Below please find his interesting writeup and not to mention loads of pictures.

Enjoy people and once again, congrats to DMT.

    Daves Story:
Originally bought the car in June 2003 with 38,000km on the clock it was completely stock and in excellent condition. Not long after purchase I started researching the mods I would like to do and

One by one worked my way through them. It's been a great car to own never given me and problems even though it's not over the top it still turns some heads on the road

    Jem's Corner
    What's you're Favourite Mod?
Probably my rims, they made the biggest difference to the look of the car but also have a soft spot for the DIY black headlights.

If you had you're time to redo everything again what would you do or not do?
Wouldn't change a thing everything on the car has turned out as I wanted it to

How long have you had the prelude for?
    4 years in June

If you could have another Model Prelude - What would it be?
    Probably a JDM BB6 SiR S Spec

How long did it take you to decide what Mods to do?
Had most of them decided early on so just worked through my list till they were all done
    .
Where did you get your ideas?
Some were my own, some from o/s clubs and some from fellow PA members but I think they have combined to make a car that is very much my own creation

Did you do majority of the Mods yourself?
Anything I could do myself I have im a very DIY person but certain things like painting and fitting the body kit I left to the pros

Do you have a name for your lude?
    Nah not really

What Mods did it have when you bought it?
    Stock as a rock!

Has it been Dyno'ed? What's the result?
114.7 kW @ 6,621 rpm (at the wheels) Dynamic Test Systems Precision
    Dynamometers
174.7 Nm @ 5,052 rpm (at the wheels) Dynamic Test Systems Precision Dynamometers
    1/4 mile 15.4 @ 93.2 mph (Calder Park)

    Next Mod?
    Absolutely nothing im done!

    Future Aspirations for Prelude?
Just enjoy driving it for couple more years then buy my black Lexus SC430 dropped on 20's

How do you find the police are towards your lude? Any story's?
Not really think cause the car is fairly low key doesn't get that much attention haven't been randomly pulled over in it since ive had the car.
I did have a cop at a booze bus say it was a hot looking car though ; P

Like to thank everyone that's voted for the car and those that have shown interest in it over the years makes it all worth while when you can share your mods with fellow enthusiasts and they are
The ones that notice the little things cause sometimes they make all the difference!

    Cheers

    Dave

    Congrats Dave mate.

I must say that your car has been one of the inspirations for mine, and I really hope that it'll be with us for years to come. Definatly an asset to PA and to Honda owners everywhere.

I know you've said that your car is "finished" but surly you've thought of other mods? I mean, these things aren't ever really finished until they're sold, or the owner dead or married ( ) so are there really any other plans? More power, bigger stereo, more JDM stuff?

BTW, what grille is that? You've neglected to mention in your writeup. Is it the JDM mesh one?

i paid 28K back in 03 at the time the car was 4 years old but considering it was 45K new with the low km and leather i thought it seemed like a good buy.

Nah seriously its done, ive just bought an apartment in the docklands so no more disposable income to spend on cars for a while !

As for the grill i didnt mention it cause ive taken it off, it was something i made but wasnt happy with how it looked so i removed it.
