disagree, i rekn the 90's and 00 was da bomb

    all the vtec cars

nsx then delsol, then lude and teg vtirs, then by the end of the 90's the civic vtir 5th gen, then the dc2r! then 00+ u got s2k dc5r

we did miss out on a few jap goodies like da9 vtec, crx vtec, eg6 vtec, civic type R's ... but oh well.

after the dc5r died, honda's been pretty gay in terms of performance...

Its not always such a bad thing that they dont get sold on the aussie market. Cause then the jap spec ones can be imported through SEVs. Think a few places are looking at compliancing the civic type R.

You probably will. If Honda Australia continues to become "pedestrian" as it seems to be doing, there will be no excitement left in Honda Cars. They will all be small cars being used by nanas shopping at Safeway (Woolworths for those playing at home outside of VIC).

At least Subaru have a nice sporty spunky looking range of cars that have AWD and superb performance and handling.

I think right now the sweet spot is the little turbo 4 cylinders.

HSV VRX, SRi Turbo, XR5 Turbo, Golf GTi, 3 MPS, etc etc etc. There is next to endless choice, even Volvo is joining in next month.

There is some good used models going for decent prices too, with the now discountinued VVTLi sportivo's in the high teens to low 20's. Not to mention the beutiful TS SRi Turbo.

I'd buy the 3 MPS if i could pull the money together for one

Currently in trying to decide between 3 choices, 5th gen vtir, MY03 SRi Turbo, or MY03 Sportivo... Its too difficult, i love the 5th gen, but finding one close in 5 speed is next to impossible (if not impossible).

If someone in QLD is selling their VTiR 5 speed, PM me.

Yep, hence why a few members on here (including me) will be heading over to the Subaru camp.

Honda have lost the plot in Aus... in Japan they are still OK... but I don't know... even in Japan, it's as if they've lost their fighting spirit? The great man himself (Soichiro) said that if Honda does not race, there is no Honda... and I can't see the "racing spirit" in a bunch of 4-door SOHC iVTEC cars

Wow, i thought i was the only one noticing these WRX's and drooling over exciting fantasies...
I built up some money, i was going through a lot of thoughts in my head...

-Sell my 3G, get a 5G Vtir manual... (Hmmm, still a possibility)
    -Convert 3G to h22-manual... (Too much hastle, + i'd want an s2)
-4G VtiR with mods... (Still thinking, but...)
-Get a late 00' model wrx, before the bug eye atrocities came out...

Basicly, if i had the right amount of $$$, i'd be driving in a black h22 turbo'd s2 manual 3g. But with limited resources, time, money, knowledge, patience, i'm not sure what the next step is...

EDIT: As far as this thread goes, i think it's a sad day for Honda, and Menthu's siggy.

Most people on here considered WRX's, but got forced elsewere due to things like insuring them.

I could buy one, money wise is no problem, but running it you've got no hope.
